    I went to the last besieged as a level 39 whm to get back a level. Between raising, diaing, and pulling crowds of unclaimed mobs away from the generals with banishga, I'm pretty certain I was more useful in the fight than any melee under level 65 would've been. Heck, that list is pretty much everything I do as 72 rdm in besieged, minus hasting someone every time the timer is up. I just have to reraise and rest for mp a lot more as whm. Why shouldn't I be able to do that and earn {incredibly weak} exp like everyone else?

      I guess SE thinks the same.

      But low lvl players who contribute with anything besides spamming Dia and Cure II are a minimal percentage, to me 99% of low lvl players in Besiege only mean more lag.

        Exactly. I got stuck in besieged as my 68drg/rdm the other day. Finally I was able to hit the mobs enough to do a weapon skill or two that would miss. I started sac pulling mobs out of the hall of binding with diaga.

        I liked besieged, but when it gets up to 5 its hard for melees around my level to be really useful.

            This made me think of something, maybe lvl restriction should be implemented acording to the lvl of the invading army. The stronger the mobs the higher the minimum cap.


            But either way, having melee needing to use spells from a low lvl sub to contribute rather than actually meleeing seems kinda broken to me. I mean, NMs should be really strong against Physical/magical damage, but their Evasion seems kinda too high if you ask me.

              No exp loss for recovering the AC is an excelent idea, now we will only be missing the AC for at the most a day or too insted of the weeks fairy has been seeing >.>;, temp items are nice fluff, besiged only jug pets (yes please!). And more IS and EXP is always a good thing ^^.

                I am mostly worried about NM > more exp ; ; People are already too keen on whacking NMs at the cost of Generals lives... I dont know if people just 'dont know' that Generals dead = HoB opens = AC byebye or they just figure "Hey we're gonna loose anyway, lets kill nms instead"...

                Hades has been reallyy bad with loosing the AC this past 2 months D: The update sounds really promising and I hope that the changes will bring people's interest back, but again I'm afraid to be optimistic about that.

                  People go after NMs for the same reason mobs go after tanks. They think the flashiest, most attention-grabbing mob is the biggest threat that most needs to be eliminated. Unfortunately, while this strategy works for us to place the mobs attacks where they will do the least damage, it also works for the beastmen to keep the players' efforts where they will have the least effect.                         It should be level > 70 = no loss of exp
                        level < 69 = automatic level down

                        That should teach the low levels to gtfo. This isn't a pansy ass place where you just mess around. Defending the Astral Candesence should be top priority, business to business, mano y mano, etc. No messing around. /sub Murphie

                              Well, apparently my light hearted joking comes off as elitest and assholish. I'm what's wrong with this forum. At least, if recent events have anything to say about it (which they don't). So I guess I appreciate that, but you might not want to /sub anything I do lest you be labeled as something you're not.^^

                                I've been proposing that lowbies be barred from Besieged for quite some time; even if you're sub WHM or whatever, you're still not contributing as much as someone who's level 70+ who can either hurt the monsters much more than you can, or heal for much more than you can.

                                Not that healing people is bad, but it's not going to win the battle.

                                Personally, I think anyone inside Al Zhabi at the time who is below 70 should just get auto-warped back to Aht Urghan Whitegate (as is what happens when the zone is already full). It would greatly reduce the amount of lag.

                                P.S. Can you imagine how much MP is wasted on Raises for all these clowns who are underlevelled at Besieged?
