Yep, I've been in parties that done only 600 exp or less as well. The people were great talk to though and quite open to suggestions of new things to try. They were great help for using with testing purposes.

And I really hope this doesn't mean everyone and their dog takes up RNG again.
there is too many WARs, but no one complained.... why too many RNGs is a problem?

I guess I'm not as open minded as you >_< I enjoy being part of an efficient group. I enjoying seeing my group kill fast and chains stuff. That's why I enjoy playing Brd and Rdm so much. I know I'm contributing to the success of the group.

Meeting nice people is good too. Like, chatting, stuff like that. But from my experience tho, a PT that doesn't kill, also doesn't talk....

Personally, I like to be unique. When I started, noone played RNG. Then lots of people got lvl 75 jobs that they could use to finance RNG to endgame for HNMLS stuff. That was the age of a million rangers. The nerf hurt, but we were unique again.
Though, I may finally be able to join an ammo burn party if its good enough to get a few more people back into the job. I was hardly xp'ing at the time of rng fanaticism, and the only specific ammo burn invite I can remember, was while I was already in a regular party and I didn't feel right leaving one party for another.

Oh, and I have heard people complain that too many people are lvl'ing WAR for endgame. I think about half the complaints though, are that all they ever sub is NIN.

Nah, most people complain about TP-burns because they make 15k+ xp/hour while regular parties make "only" 8-12k.

If TP burns didn't get more xp than regular parties no one would care regardless of the sub, it's more about "they have something I don't have, so they need to be nerfed" stuff if you ask me.

                No kidding.

I miss Cato parties, they were so much more fun than Aht Urgan ones.

Something just occurred to me. Pre original patch, Ebow wasn't the end all be all of endgame bows. Before the patch, Shigeto, M.C., and one or two others (too tired to remember the other one, or is it two?) were all better endgame bows than Ebow. The patch made base damage slightly less important, and made r.atk. much more effective. I'm wondering if this change might change that back, atleast somewhat. I doubt it will be anything big, if it changes at all, but its possible that Ebow will nolonger be the bow user's endgame bow of choice. Ebow will most likely still rock pre-70, but its possible it will be dethrowned by one of the older endgame bows again. Only time will tell I suppose. Ebow will probably still climb up in price, atleast some, regardless of the outcome.

The way I understand it, Ebow became a better option endgame because ranged attacks no longer ignored a mob's defense, which will still be true after the update. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm incorrect, but regardless, it now sounds like the +ratk you get from equipment is even more important.

Either way, it will be fun to go out there and conduct some tests.

Afaik, defense was always taken into account, the difference in damage came from the scaling down damage done due to difference in your lvl compared to mob's lvl. Atleast I don't ever remember hearing that def wasn't taken into account.
Flashy shot will give you the same numbers you put up pre-patch, and description only says it ignores mob's level.
