Are you kidding me? Blm is still the #1 de facto standard job of dynamis, and necessary for MBing in most standard party configurations. Plus, even after the manaburn patch(which never affected regular exp manaburns) blms are still a powerful job.

Sure they're useful to throw at Dynamis and MB in conventional parties but these days of TP burns from around lv 60 and up have no use for Blm, which is nearly half the required experience to 75 and all anyone makes is TP burns because they achieve 100+ chains. Not to mention merit parties are also TP burn.
It's common discussion on the Blm forums that there is obvious disinterest in Blm for ToAU zone parties. Plus manaburns never reached chains as high as TP burns.
Now manaburns are the only option and even soloing is suggested. These options garner experience anywhere from equal to half a traditional pt which doesn't even touch the rates of TP burns, but it isn't about the experience points, is it?

I love how the player attitude shifts all the time. Before when mana burns were the only burn going on, blm would shun at joining a normal pt. Now normal pt's dont need blm and they're starting to feel left out ^_^
However, in most missions and all end game scenarios, blm is one of the most sought after jobs.

Yeah not to long ago there was only 2 kinds of burn mana, an arrow. When Rng got nerfed. the blm community laughed at us, Or have they forgotten the cartoons, of RNG turning in there gear for BLM Af...
It is kinda sad when you think about it. the job most wanted by endgame shells. snub them in exp parties. MAybe that only proves the selfishness of the player base, "we dotn need you cause you will ruin MY exp party", "We need you or it will ruin MY god run"

Really pissess me off that players even started any kind of burn parties and then the damn mindless sheep follow suit calling you an idiot or newb if you didn't follow. It's just the most idiotic thing that so many can be hearded like that, seriously think it's a group that if they saw a few people jump from a cliff they'd follow suit. Sounds like some humans were once lemmings in their past life.
Seriously it's this suddenly selfish behavior that's been kreeping in that is horrible for this game. It starts making EQ seem more appealing again with players acting more selfless and supportive of eachother.

I don't see how you can lay blame at the fault of the playerbase for using whatever methods they find most effective. That's not the fault of people - it's human nature to want to maximize the playing experience.
What needs to happen is for Square-Enix to provide a way for BLMs to contribute meaningfully to an XP party. I'll make a separate topic in the Ask S-E questions forum about a solution for this.
Since when is a mana burn party worse than a normal xp party? If thats the case, then why did they start making mana burns at all?
I understand that TP burns won't include blm in their party, but shouldn't that theoretically leave lots of lfp blms to form a mana burn with?

Its funny how a yr or 2 ago we were exclaiming why waste time killing IT++. an dealing with the long hours of downtime, when we could chain T - IT all day long. Players used to tell us to shut the hell up that kind of exp sucked. We used to refer to it as the OMG big number theory,
Now here we are, an all players do is chain T or VT mobs. lol

No tanks wanna go to mana burns, an its hard to manaburn if you dont have a brd or a rdm. both fo which are very seeked out by burn pts.

Lol, they do contribute to an XP party. I've seen it's effects with a BLM and without, they are as useful as the DDs put in the party. A good SC combination along with a MB attack from BLM is very effective for short battles and faster EXP. Some of the best parties I've been in are capable of killing a mob without a tank on every other mob, but only able to do so with a good SC combination and a BLM to MB off of. Without the MB from the BLM to finish the attack the party would be in trouble unless the Tank is ungodly good at controlling hate.
That is just hilarious to hear because as far as I know BLMs frequently have to hold back damage to not be the tank. To say they aren't contributing? Were the hell is that coming from?
It is the player base because they only pick 1 method and refuse to or ignore other obvious methods that do prove themselves to work. It's flat out ignorance, like trying to say it's dumb to excersise to lose fat when you can just do lipo.

Well I wasnt laying blame in my post. However, I just find it funny now that BLM want to be in normal PTs now more so than when they had invites coming their way from both ends: normal pts and mana burn pts.
With the sentiments of the blm here, it's just interesting to see how they want to be back in those pts again. When they used to ignore them for quick gaining mana burns.
It is just human nature to maximize your experiences. Which is what melee are doing now.

Not my nature and if dear God makes sure of it, it'll never be my nature. My nature is to have fun regardless of fast exp gain or not. However if I party is striving for a fast exp gain I'm more then glad to contribute my part so they have fun as well.
I've been all kind of wacky party combinations and the party members have made them work very well gaining 6k-12k exp an hour in some.

I have fun seeing my experience goes up ^_^
PTing for 3 hours for 600 exp is really depressing. (my VK PT 2 days ago lol)
