    The ranged attack update sounds like they realize that racc is sorta broken, and that +ranged accuracy will actually improve your accuracy (not just meals, it mentions your equipment too). It sounds like, for those of us under 70, we will be able to load up on accuracy and eat meat without any problems.

      In addition to the above adjustments, the next version update will also feature changes to the summoner job. Keep checking the main page for details in the next few days!

        Then they have accomplished what they were aiming to do... hold us in suspense. New avatar maybe? idk

        Holding your players in suspense is a great way to keep them interested in the game. Works well for soon-to-be-released games, why not updates for current games?

          Didn't they say at the convention in Japan that they'd have summoning skill actually do something and split BP's into offensive and defensive timers?
          Maybe coming with this update as well.

              I don't see the DRK update as much of a change. As I mentioned on the DRK forums, I was hoping for the Scythe changes they mentioned. Absorb-TP is already very timing sensitive. We have no way of knowing when the mob will use their TP, so we start casting Absorb-TP hoping for a good 30~40, and the damn thing uses it's TP before the spell's done casting and we get 0% or 7%. I don't really see this as a change.

              Congrats to all you RngAtk folks though. This looks like it should make quite a number of people happy.

                Isn't that the truth. I'm still waiting for the "patch" that takes away TP gain from Barrage.
                Still afraid that if this update is too good that everyone will come back to RNG and ruin our good name.....again.

                    Where they chose to apply the penalty in the update that "nerfed" RNG has a great effect on how bad the "nerf" is.

                    example:

                    say this us the way it is with the nerf:

                      Still afraid that if this update is too good that everyone will come back to RNG and ruin our good name.....again.
                      Why would people jump onto a job that requires vast amounts of gil to play, when you can level WAR or MNK and probably still get more invites? I'm sure some people who put Ranger away will come back to it, but I don't think the job will ever be as popular as it once was.

                      Then again, if it is too good to bring people back to ranger, it will just make the good ones even better. And it will make it harder to get an Ebow...

                          You should be happy. That more or less means summoner is getting a whole update page to themselves like samurai did. Look at Drg, rng, and drk. They have to share one page. I would rather have one page just to one job so it makes that job the talk of the day. Yes I see the scarasim.

                              being a thief using marksmanship I seen acid bolts do 80 dmg (with heavy x-bow+1) against brook sahagin up close and over 100 dmg when a short distance away. I don't use bolts for the damage, but rather for the defense down effect (very useful in parties, so much so I put 8 merits into marksmanship skill).

                              I just have to wait to see.
