Just downloaded update, and ran netmeter in the background, total d/l for the pc 3.8mb for those that care am lookign forward tog etting the egg when I hit quafim with my paladin.

You can summon in Ro'maeve, but when you zone into Altana's brothel they disaapear until you arrive in Tulia.

Which pretty much confirms that i'm correct about HOTG being a town.

nope it started today... and it will take one full month (real life) to have a full grown chocobo.

There is an egg vendor in Ru'Lude Gardens as well. Available to all.

And you can get a free egg from Brutus after completing the Chocobo on the Loose! quest. Talk to Brutus in the Upper Jeuno stables to start it.

When you need to find the chocobo in La Theine, check the chocobo tracks a little bit southeast of the Ronfaure zone, along the cliff.

The rest is just running back and forth and talking to the NPCs they tell you to talk to. This quest could be easily completed by a level 20, if you have chocobo license so you can get back and forth from Jeuno to other places.

When Brutus says come back later, I noticed it was almost the end of the vana'diel day so I just stood there until the day changed... nothing. Then I zoned and came back and finished the quest. So I don't know if waiting for the day to change is necessary, but zoning definitely is necessary.


Chocobo eggs and chocobo raising are definitely NOT only for high level chars. Chocobo license isn't even necessary, although going to Jeuno is (and most people will do the license quest the first time they go to Jeuno, because it's such a pain to go to and from Jeuno without chocobo license at level 20).
