Re: Azimuth Circle Begins on July 31st!(07/28/2006)
After pulling out half of my scalp, my partner & I figured this ridiculous quest out through trial & error. Note that this is for the NQ version of the yukata. I haven't done the HQ one yet.
Basically, once the moogle warps you & your partner to the area, one person finds an aggro-free spot & /heals. In a few seconds, the virtual compass the moogle gave you will give you a direction. This direction is where your partner is supposed to go.
Here's the important part. Once your partner finds a "Check Point", make sure your partner DOES NOT click on it, since it might be the wrong point, and apparently, you're not allowed any mistakes (thanks SE, you bunch of psychopaths).
Have your partner "test" the point. For instance, if your compass says "North", have your partner, stand just north of the point. If your compass then says "South", then you're at the right place. But if your compass continues to say "North", then it's the wrong point & your partner should just continue walking north until they come to another "Check Point". Then repeat the "test".
Once both of you are sure you're at the right point, have your partner click on the "Check Point". Your partner should recieve an item (make sure both of you have space in your inventory).
Repeat the entire process, except your partner /heals and you run around. Once both of you have recieved an item, use the Gate Glyph given to you by the moogle to go back to the city you started the quest from (the next time I do this, I'm just gonna ghetto warp, since those Gate Glyphs will come in handy some day).
At the city, you and your partner will trade the items you found to each other. Then trade the item to the moogle & you'll receive the yukata. The NQ version of the yukata will yield a stack of 99 Muteppo (roman candle fireworks) and can be used again in 168 real-life hours to yield more fireworks.
