At the following time, we will be performing FINAL FANTASY XI maintenance on all Worlds. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XI will be unavailable.

Thank you for your patience.

* The client software will also be updated at this time. Once this maintenance is completed, the client update will start automatically after logging back into FINAL FANTASY XI. Please follow the instructions that appear on your screen.

* You may receive errors such as POL-1160 or POL-0010 during the download process due to heavy server traffic. If you are unable to access the update, we ask that you please wait a while and then try again.

* For the update details, please refer to "Topics" on the official PlayOnline.com web site or PlayOnline Viewer which will be available on Jul. 24, 2005.

* Also, the continuation of the Treasures of Aht Urhgan storyline and Chocobo raising have been excluded from this version update for further testing, and are scheduled to be implemented in the next version update. More details will be announced when they become available. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Woohoo, the biggest chunk of the update...isn't coming with the rest. Got to love how they hype it so much and then pull it to make us wait another 2-3 months.

I would rather wait (though they should have it together after the 3+ months) for it to actually work, but it's still a big disappointment. If it wasn't looking good they should have never given us so many teasers.

Storyline and chocobos postponed..

So 2-3 more months until we see that. Awesome :D

And i was really hyped for the chocobos too ; _ ;

A company this big, been this long in the field.. and still cant foresee their problems.. they shoulda just plan chocobo implementation much later instead of building the hype.. <.<

Good! I hope next update is in October so when I get off this deployment sometime in that month so I won't be so far behind on choco raising and missions.

Nice that PUP/COR/BLU AF should still be coming in the July update. Wonder what other things they are added.

Too bad for the folks who were looking forward to more missions though. And for the folks who were really hyped up about Chocobos. But I'm good on both counts, so it makes no difference to me.

Remember interview type thing where they said they "prefer to announce job updates closer to relase of the version update" (about this months update) or some such. Usually with SE that means "yes" but not always. I think its safe to say well se some form of job update beyond jsut BLU and PUP
