If you have a keylogger, it'll read your password when you log onto FFXI anyway, so it's kind of a moot point. You have one? You're kind of in trouble anyway.

Yep, you are right about that, but there's a little detail.

Say you get a keylogger today, if you use your POL ID and password daily that means the keylogger will get your info very soon (today). But if you use another user name and pw daily and your POL ID only once a month to check the billing info (or once every few months to create a new character) that means you'll have all that time to find out about the keylogger before important data is compromised.

So while it's true a keylogger would get your info eventually, not using important data often gives you much more time to find out about threats before compromising such info.

Simple: they want it to happen.

Then learn to keep your systems clean, it's not rocket science.

Your worried that your car might break down because you don't change the oil. So instead of learning how to change the oil in your car, you want a different car for every day of the week.
