Why not have a capped fight though? (Perhaps Level 50 instead, however.) It would definitely not be against a dragon though, maybe against a "chocobo mom" that you must defeat in order to know where to go to find the egg. (Make the battle required.)

Well they could have Ballista matches ONLY for people with chocobos. Then people could pit their chocobos AND their skills against others. I agree that it would add some nice depth to the game and variety for people who are jaded with Ballista as it stands.

That would work better, thing is I don't see it happening. That's kind of requesting them to redo something they've already set, which just doesn't seem as likely to happen unless it has an impact on the new stuff released and needs to be addressed.

It's called an idea and meant for discussion. I never stated that this was a route they were considering. I said I wouldn't mind seeing it happen. And who knows it just may:

I know it's an idea and even acknowledged it to be a good one. I just simply stated that as good as it is, the idea just seem like we should not expect to see given SE's previous track record with this game. Unless you can viably see how not having a ballista match with chocobo's used can be an issue to the gamesplay or jobs functions I personally wouldn't want the time wasted on that kind of addition.

Do Choccobo races, impliment a way to use them for added mobility when players are outside. Make it viable to reach islands on chocobo, whatever as long as it built with the economy and all in mind seems a lot better. Better then spending time on redoing something that's already fine as it is.

Shoot though if you really want to take that route with Chocobo's while they are at it why don't they add options for the NPC Fellowship to join you in the Ballista if we are going be adding stuff like that might as well add more to it so the time spent is actually worthwhile.

They are implementing chocobo races later on this year.

I'm hoping there is finally a new use for Papaka Grass besides the Chocobolicious quest. A couple new food and medicine recipes would be good.

I'd like to see the cook and the apothecary involved in this somehow, since they know so much about curing sick birds. And maybe the two chocobos from Bastok as well since I'd like to know how they are getting on. From that quest, we learned that Chocobos mate for life, which I hope they carry forward into the breeding as well.

I have wanted a Black Chocobo since before I started the game, but I'll be happy with whatever color I get. Whatever sex too, since I'm sure each egg is preprogrammed either male or female.

I wonder if there would be distinct advantages to having a male or female chocobo. {Hmm....} I would probably prefer a female chocobo.

It's great news but pessimistically I'd guess it sucks to be under level 20
