Exactly. So basically, the update is making things fair and correct.

    What a concept!

Notice Nashmau also lowered in price. Lastly, they need to make Stronghold no tax, what so ever.

To people who say making more rare/ex items and stopping gil sellers = hurting inflation, please be quiet and let the smart people talk.

Everyone has an opinion on methods for making the game run smoothly, there is no need to insult people over it. If you disagree state why their view is incorrect instead of a blanket statement of <insert random insult>.
BTW rare exe items usually get placed on massively overcamped stuff (Leaping boots anyone?) to allow others to have a chance at hunting them. Hurting the gilsellers is mearly a nice side effect, but it also means I have to hunt the item myself if I want it being the tradeoff.
I personally like that SE has the Tax in Jeuno I walk outside to the tax free fleemarket If I need to sell or buy Garison items exc. It helps keep lag down by reducing the number of extra players bazaring in the middle of Jeuno.

Seriously, without him, the beastmen would win Besieged three times a week or more. He's kinda the unofficial mascot of TAU imo.

You know that there is another tarutaru who can warp you directly to Jeuno (he never miss/fail) in Whitegate right? He's the older brother and he wants a silver coin per warp. You'd still want to defend the city for Imperial Standing and buy the coins though.

Personally i feel there should be tax based on Conquest on the mainland somewhere, like places where you arent in control theres more tax, or if you are #3 and in an area without your control, more tax in bazaar. Or just a different tax in general for everyone in general. We need more gil out.

It was 750 (with 3-4 more) before the update. Now it seems like 700 (with 2-4 extra). Today on Midgardsormr during the undead attack, people tried to come in after the 700 limit was reached and zoned back into Whitegate.

SE doesnt want players to go back to Jeuno per se, they just want to make the zones more managable. what good is al zhabi if its crappy for everyone? This isnt about what SE wants players to do, it's just about easing the load on the server(s) that run that zone.

Even with this, al zhabi will still have PLENTY of people in it. I really dont understand what the fuss is about.

FFXI is capped at 56k so slow connections dont factor much. but the Mere fact that you have to load your images and actions will hurt even a Monster PC. I think its a good way to get people out who dont contribute anything to defense..

If they want to reduce the crowding they need to lower the stupid ships travel time. Or come out with a tele-ring that actually, I dont know, teleports you to Al-zahbi. Instead of ~10 minutes away from it. That's the reason my HP stays there, would take too long to get back otherwise.

Agreed. It's stupid to go to any particular zone with an AH and having to wait forever for even the AH screen to load due to the lag created by the hundreds of computers...

That wouldn't be a bad idea. SE could even make it those who are AFK 3 minutes into the Besieged battle would even get kicked or zoned to some nasty zone with lots of aggro. (SE already has an in-built program able to logout people's characters after a set amount of time from motionless, so I'd very seriously doubt they couldn't do the above.)
