There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot,
but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence
transform a yellow spot into the sun.

I don't want to be a downer (and I do think the male AF looks fly) but in the minmax culture (eg. oh nono dragoon, no group for you), will a luck based class ever get a pt? The worst results will have to be pretty good if they want to see more than city walls day in and day out.
It's just a myth about dragoons. They're part of an overall DD glut on a lot of servers, but nobody really discriminates against them *in particular*, except for KRT.
Anyway, COR has the glamor of being a new job going for it, at least for a while.
I do see the potential for bad/stupid CORs that regularly double up on 8 or 9 (or 10!) to be pretty much deadweight; although one hopes they would learn better before they get out of Valkurm, at worst, clearly that isn't true of stupid ways of playing many existing jobs. The second roll is very rarely going to bust and you should probably take it (unless the lucky number for that roll is 6 or less and you've hit it already), but if you're redoubling on 7+, there's some real risk involved.
I wonder if the lucky/unlucky numbers will be immediately obvious or if players will have to try to figure them out from the statistical effects. For some rolls that could be quite difficult... the notes at least imply that they're fixed for a given roll, so once you have them figured out, you know them forever (i.e. they don't depend on day of the week, weather, level...).
