Well, I have been thinking about that for some time, but my Monitor is only like 21" where my TV is like 50 something. So it kndds looks odd to play on small monitor. I am also thinking in migrating to xbox 360.

Can anyone, if they have time, be kind enough to post some images of hte actual xbox gameplay.

    Thanks

One thing that's funny is that even tho my computer screen is smaller than my TV, since the resolution is higher on my computer, technically, I see more. To make my resolution equal to my TV, I think mey settings have to be in the 480 x 320 region. On my laptop, by comparison, I go up to 1024 x 768. So moving to the computer actually gives you BETTER graphics

I am still debating wheter to stay on ps2, move to pc or migrate to xbox 360. The xbox360 is the most expensive choice since i need to buy the system, the game etc.

That must have been configured incorrectly, I have one where I do get the rumble feature on my controller (goes crazy next to any mobs bigger than a quadav i.e. giants, buffalo, etc.) Or if it wasn't configured correctly, it's the actual converter itself. I have one where you could plug in 2 controllers, but I only use it for 1 controller.

Well, bestbuy does not have the PS2 PC converter.... are you sure radio shack has them?

That's how I got my "Super Joy Box" (I -love- that name). I couldn't really find a USB PS2 controller converter thing where I was (I barely know of any radio shacks here...I love farm states), so I bought one online.

Too bad I barely used it. >_>

Anyway... I'll take whatever I can get when it comes to extra storage space. I get lazy on exp parties on WHM and throw my WHM AF1 into storage and just use mithra RSE hands instead. And on SMN I usually use errant feet instead of SMN AF1 feet, and throw all the AF in storage for that job too.

If not for my AF hat and body, when I solo (since the last time i exped or did sky was 2 months ago) I would rather just use JSE. But I'm compelled to lug around my Warlock set. What's worse is that, unless I'm mistaken, you can't store HL gear like Relic, errant and JSE, to cite a few examples. . .

Oh hey mine is called the Super Joy Box as well! The drivers come on a 3 1/2 floppy so make sure you have atleast that to install the drivers.

Side note: I have to lug all my crafting gear with me, all elemental staffs, moogle rod & genbu shield, some crystals in case I come across something I want to desynth, food, echo drops, silent oil, yag drinks...

I'm usually 54/60 or 50/60 which doesn't leave any room for other stuff. I could theoretically drop all my other staffs and just carry 2 staffs with me, (carby for apollo & fenrir for pluto)

Furniture is always retarded, wasting furniture space and not even receiving that much storage space for it. i.e.

Or atleast let me access storage in rent-a-rooms! Access Lockers in Rent-a-rooms!

I am not quite sure what to think here, I mean I play FFXI on PS2 and have really really enjoyed it, but now, I mean are PS2 players just this universally hated? Why? Dont we contribute good things to the comunity? Why would you want us all gone? My computer wont run FFXI and because this is the only MMORG i play why would i want to change my computer to play it, or get another when the stuff that I do, do, my computer is sufficient for? But my real question is, Are we that big a drag on the FFXI community that we should be done away with?

                                Re: Mog Lockers (04/05/2006)

See, gai, that's the problem. It's 2006, and I can run FFXI on my crappy, entry-level, low-budget Dell Inspiron 1200 with Integrated Graphics and only a 512 upgrade to a 256 system (making it 738, I believe)

In an era where more than 40% of households have broadband (up from 3% in 99) and even the low-end graphics cards that actually come on many Intel Motherboards (meaning EVERY new computer has the possibility to run FFXI), it's odd that people are claiming that they have no other option.

The 900 series of Integrated Graphics came out almost 2 years ago, so with all due respect, people should, very easily, buy a bare-bones PC if not for any other reason than to just upgrade.

The PS2 users of the community are huge, but sadly, you are only as strong as your weakest link, and the PS2 is strongly limiting the game. But with that aside, it's too late to stop supporting FFXI for PS2, rather, I feel that SE will come out with a new MMO that will be PS3 / XB360 / PC only.
