    Carby does around 20 to 40 damage on T's and VT's. On (Too Weak) carby does a consistant 192 damage. (I was hitting everything I came across on E. Sarutaruba for 192 exactly)

      Well, from my experiences, I don't see blms cure ever. I've been in pts where I ran out of mp, the rdm was out of mp, the pld was out of mp, but the blm had 200 and mp and instead of keeping the tank alive they just kept nuking.
      As a PLD I have found this to be so disheartening. To die as the tank and mere seconds later the mob dies and the BLM still has 100-200 MP. Many fail to see the big picture, they just caused down time and failed to live up to their role in the party.

          Oddly enough, I think this is just some sort of inherant idea that comes with being a blm. My wife is my LS's blm and if I ask her to pop a cure to someone, she will w/o hesitation, but leave her to her own ways and you'll never see it happen. /shrug

              This is my opinion.... I have recently began leveling BLM, after much thought, it will the my next 75 job. The reasons for me choosing this job were simply becuase I wanted to do DAMAGE, and have fun.

              That being there, there is no way i will EVER agree to go on a XP for main heal. I dont care the situation, i dont care who it is, i will reufse 10% of the time. Unless, like last night, where our WHM died in the middle of a IT++ xp mob.. i healed, other than that, I dont even see it as a slight possibility and I wont do it?

              That is what i feel and what i think its right. I chose BLM not WHM or RDM....... am I wrong, do you think my positio is to bold?

              I am currently BLM 58!!! going fast!

                It's not about being main heal, its about healing when the pt NEEDS you to. The entire point of an exp pt is to get the most exp, in the shortest amount of time, with the least amount of effort. With that said, it means that sometimes the blm needs to throw out a cure to keep the flow of the pt going positively. Here is a case: The mob has 1/3 health, the whm has mp but takes a rest because they are trying to conserve mp for the next fight so there is no downtime, and the blm has plenty of mp left, so should the blm make the whm get up to throw a Cure 3 on the tank when the mob is nearly dead and interrupt their healing cycle or should the blm throw out that Cure so the whm can get enough mp so they can immediately pull and keep the exp flowing? Or how about the whm who's mp is low, takes a heal near the end of the fight but doesn't have quite enough mp for the puller to pull, and then has to stand up and curaga after the fight to get hp's up because the blm won't bother? Is this beneficial to the flow of the exp?

                There is more to it than being main heal. There have been times where I've been main heal on my blm. Frustrating yes because I couldn't play my job the way I want to play it but necessary because that was the only option we had at that time. Yes, I can refuse invites that ask me to main heal because that is my right but if I accept an invite knowing that I will be main heal or back up healer, then I need to bite the bullet and do it.

                  The rat is rather well suited for taking on alot of things in game. He holds hate well and is good to keep chains rolling, Since Like I said you can pull when last mons is 20% HP, and if rat taking a beating use Healing RubYII and he wont die.
                  /l if you are close to the PT when healing goes off they get the AOE effect.

                  I really want SE to make Summoner MORE MP dependant and less perpetuation cost dependant.

                  Also another god idea that will help summoners is seperate timers.
                  For BP's. I dunno maybe a timer for physical attack, magic attack , and support Bp's.
                  I think that will allow a SMN to do more with their BP's in any given minute.

                            Ok what would paralyze II do?

                            Drain II...isnt that like drk or blm related?

                            refreshaga....what was the last aga spell you had as rdm....you know without /whm or /blm

                            refresh II...Now that is interesting.

                            As far as the summoners go, what if they made the physical effects tp moves instead of mp, and I agree the perpetuation cost needs to either go away or be decreased. But stuff like Axe kick, predator's claw, tail whip (??), flaming punch, you know what i am talkin about then they could use those skill without usin mp and still be able to do the support stuff.

                            Rdm is complex and hard to master and the pay off, being able to kill mobs that no other single job can do.

                            Pld, i have just started playing this job and love it, but it does need some help, the tp gain from shield activations would be cool, but really i think the plds need to get back the shield ability that they had before (course everyone had it but..) something like a lvl60 ability Advanced sheild tactics, when your sheild successfully blocks you recieve 0 dmg, but you still gain X tp from the hit. I mean that is what the problem is in the fight with nin tanks right? Get hit for 100dmg or 0....get hit 7 times for 80dmg a hit or hit 2-3 for 100dmg a hit, hmmm 560dmg to heal or 300 dmg to heal let me see.

                            Anyway all things that we will simply have to wait and see about.

                              I think of tier 2 debuffs as sticking easier and procing with a higher rate.

                              Refresh II would be interesting, but Refresh I is already so powerful ...

                              Can't say I disagree about Drain II and Refreshga.

                                Oi, I didn't pay attention to this topic for far too long. So much to reply on...

                                Off the top of my head... There is a -ga spell that RDMs can use. Diaga! But that's like saying "when's the last time somebody saw a SMN use an axe" and telling them "rune axe". It just...doesn't really count.

                                And to Darkhound: There is an NM that's worse than Shikigami Weapon. I can't remember the name of the NM, but it's a bird in cape terrigan. It only shows up during wind weather (or maybe it was only double wind weather), and depops once the weather goes away, unless it has a debuff on it.

                                SMN is blessed with a great AF2 set, and I think what we lose in equipment options we gain in shiny summons. I'll agree that our gear is fairly hard to obtain though. I've been to about 15 shikigami camps, and got the TOD a few times, I'm still lacking that robe. But, to be fair, I passed on it, because at the time I was the best equipped SMN in the linkshell, and I felt it'd be wrong to take an item when I have something comparable to it already (SMN AF2 body) while others in our LS were using austure robes for their SMN.
                                Edit: A friend of mine, in the same linkshell, went to every shikigami weapon she could, and got the TOD alone at least 20 times and she never got the robe. It was her turn for the robe for months, and when she finally got some people to help, people from our own LS camped against her. :/ I would have been helping her myself that day, but that was after my connection got bad and I couldn't do anything.

                                Oh, and when talking about wearing austure/penance hat over the horn, I assume you mean AF1 horn, right?

                                Edit: On how the yinyang robe looks... I totally agree. It's lame to just use the same models over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. I wouldn't mind so much if they made it a different color, or even the same exact thing, but a different .dat file, so we can replace it to something more "SMN" without making people wearing jujitsu/master gi's look "SMN" too.

                                I'd like to see them at least go through and make monsters look slightly different based on what zone they're in. It probably won't happen though.
