I agree, a friend of mine plays CoH and he mentions they have a thing called "super base" which would be a linkshell mog house, where each linkshell has its own "base" You can add furniture etc.... that would be cool instead of this limited thing that wil be probably full every time or used for other stuff.

Lets wait and see.

Now That they need to add! there's no real use for the hostel thing. . .

I think advertising "hourly rates" was their downfall. (Besides the whole idea being a huge downfall in general.) You all know what you think when you see a motel with hourly rates posted on the sign. I guess it'll be somewhere GM's can go and spy on people to satisfy their own perversions. It really just sounds like SE is just asking for this to happen.

I'm indifferent on this, as long as no excessive /shout spamming comes from it. I'll probably never use it, but I really don't care if anyone else does use it.

Didn't really know that there was a group of people wanting this kinda of thing though. I suppose it could come in handy for RP'ing.

Well.. i SEE FFXI as god cheap entertainment! I rather play FFXI and have a good time than going to a night club EVERY weekend and spend like 60 dollars on drinks etc.

Just to make sure I got the wording write you are stating that marriage gives no benefit or status symbol too right? Marriage gives you a ring with the other person's name engraved on it, hardly a benefit. As far as title it might but I'm not aware of one. Even the wedding dress itself doesn't give much just decent raises to various element resistances.

No, I was stating that marriage GAVE benefits, while the hostel does not.

I'm reminded of an SNL skit with Eddie Murphy. He showed a day as a black man, then he got made up and showed his day as a white man. The day when he was white, police gave him a warning instead of a speeding ticket, newspaper vendor gave him a paper for free, and when he rode a public transportation bus, there was a party with cocktail girls after the last black passenger got off the bus.

Other than that, this place will just be a money sink with no real pourpose. They'll probley change it in the future to give some reason to use it.
