White Mage
They want to make White Mages more specialized so there is more reason to invite a White Mage instead of a Summoner, Red Mage, or even Black Mage as a healer. They want to give more options than just cure botting. They gave two ideas for ability modifications. First, adding an ability to transfer HP and MP to party members. The other was enhancing Benediction so it cures status effects as well as healing HP.
If SE gave avatars some ja traits or abilities or really some (in lack of a better word) individuality to where they can be used well for a purpose smn may have a reason to keep avatars out for melee
Leaving aside the BLM issue since there is nowhere near enough evidence to address it reasonably...
Blue magic appears to have its own casting animation. This isn't surprising (summon and ninjutsu do, after all) but it's neat. (Unless, of course, that isn't a casting animation at all but something else. Who knows?)
The corsair ability shown uses the standard JA animation for the character, and then has the card effect appear around them (similar to Berserk, Souleater, Sentinel, etc.). There was nobody else nearby in that shot so we don't know yet if effects appear around other characters too (like Warcry or Rampart).
Puppets rest when their master rests, like wyverns. This implies that SE expects/intends people to rest with puppets out, although of course it doesn't show anything about what the effect of resting on the puppet will be, or what the puppet's abilities will be, or what the puppetmaster's abilities will be (will they act exclusively through the puppet like SMN, or have abilities that act *on* the puppet like Reward (Repair?), or...). The 2 puppets shown looked exactly alike, but that doesn't necessarily mean *all* puppets look exactly alike - they could be customizable to some degree, or there could be several different kinds of puppet for different purposes, or anything.
Something resembling Odin may appear in the story, but that's a far cry from being a new summonable avatar. You might as well say based on RoZ footage that people will be able to summon Kirin - or Kam'lanaut. That footage doesn't prove anything about what role Cerberus and the Odin-like entity will play in the storyline.
Pause the video right at about 1:16 And you see this giant looking thing casting Diaga.
With massive shoulders kind alike Alexander.
Also his role would be Light/Holy magic, SO maybe a tough BCNM.
Diabolos is darkness/dark magic.
Im assuming Odin will be be Darkness/ Dark abilities like a dark knight.
Hmm. Looks more like a gigas wearing armor to me. When did Alexander ever have a huge axe?
At any rate, the fact that you can fight it doesn't mean you can summon it.
It's plausible, though - the constellation map suggests that Odin and Alexander may be a similar type of being to Ifrit, Leviathan, etc.
But what darkness abilities are left that aren't already provided by Fenrir and Diabolos? How many dark avatars can one game have?

It could be a gigas also, We dunno yet. Being that they said we ARE getting more Summons, I'll remain on the Summonable side of the fence.
Id rather think we can Summon them than not, I was right about Diabolos long before others so i'll stay "in my ways" here to.
Odin could have enhanced absorb abilities. Also his story would tie GREATLY into the fellowship story which isnt done yet by far. So we'll just have to wait and see.
I do agree on the too many dark avatars thing though.
Double Post Edited:
EDIT: BTW Puppetmaster is a new job to the Final Fantasy Series, so alexander could weild an axe heh.

From what we've heard, the Gigas homeland lies north of Xarcabard, and this could be it. Or it could be a completely new type of giant beastman. We'll see ^^
Cerberus and Odin are definitely both there, though. However, the way Odin is presented makes it seem like he will be an evil force, similar to Bahamut in CoP. Perhaps only Cerberus will be available to summoners, like Diablos is? Square Enix still maintains that they have no plans to make Bahamut summonable.
Just my thoughts, but Puppetmaster could be Square Enix's take on the Necromancer class. I know that a lot of people requested Necromancer when Square Enix first mentioned new jobs, but that kind of job doesn't fit in with FFXI. We don't play as evil characters like in EQ or WoW, so a Necromancer job would be much too dark for heroes of Vana'diel. If anything, I'd say we can expect Puppetmaster to act similarly to the way Necromancers do in other MMOs.

Its not Alexander. I saw this enemy around 1:07 of the video (you see him walking around). It seems SE is finally giving us the Iron Giants ^^
Also what about Cerberus? He could be a Summon as well.
I swear, people whine and bitch too much about effective manaburns that it all suddenly comes down to this. Instead of nerfing jobs, they should only make other jobs BETTER so we can continue to enjoy what we do and they can get an improvement.
But the problem isn't that other jobs arn't effective enough, its that certain combinations such as manaburn parties are too effective.
If they were to improve everyone else the game would become too easy, a manaburn party can take out IT mobs in a matter of seconds rather than minites. Allowing everyother jobs to do the same would turn FFXI into WoW. Something none of us want.
My guesses are BLU, COR and PPM (Pai Pai Master!).
