The whole one hit kill thing that he's known for would instill smn supremacy...actually if that was his thing when the smn 2hrd i could see that working. Guys I think we can all (or most of us) agree on a few things:

1.Cereberus is indeed shown on the trailers
2. The last figure shown is most likely odin....

HOWEVER....

1. We cannot but speculate that cereberus is an avatar, and if he indeed is, that he will be summonable. He could even be an enemy.... or just a plot mob.

2. That last figure shown could simply be the new villan who knows and maybe we just want to think its odin.

In regards to new avatars.... sure... Diabolos is also part of the story, and I still remember some pople saying that he was never going to be an avatar and there we have it. My PERSONAL guess is that the next immediate avatar that will be avilable to us IS PHOENIX... simply becuase he is a CLASSIC Final Fantasy summon.. unlike cerebrus!

EDIT: I never saw the Bomb Toss attack they reference in the 1up article.

Saw the bomb toss move when BLU & COR were fighting against the three heroes. You had to have been there to see it. Sorry!

I remember the Funguar Spore attack but I can guarantee the video I (And most everyone else) saw had no Bomb Toss move in it.

All the Smns have one buff or another so he will probably be dealt with the same way if he's added.

As for Pheonix being added next because he's a 'classic' Summon, well Diabolos has been in just as many games as Cerberus has. Not to mention the fact that SE basicilly threw their reliance on 'classic' ideas out the window when they made Puppetmaster...

Could be that they just drew inspiration from the Judges in Final Fantasy XII to create this new Odin.
