Re: RMT Countermeasures
At the least there should be an average of about 33,333 users per server (more when you start factoring in their mules).
The mathmatics done for the 300billion is wrong too. It seems to state the 300 billion was from the 700 accounts. So you should of done:
300,000,000,000 / 700 = 428,571,428 gil
That is how much those 700 users had. Like you did with your math though you showed those 700 had enough to support sale demands of players buying gil that would be on at any given time. Being able to provide on average 50,000,000 gil is more then enough for any given player out of 4,000 on at that one moment to nearly equip themselves with all or half of all their needed gear and other items.
There is so much that the 300 billion can do to effect prices and cause inflations. SE's actions may not be a fix but it is a patch at the least, it'll take those they got time to recouperate the gil so it relieves the system. Solving it though is something you'll have to still figure out, hell it's still a problem that isn't even solved in real life so when real life starts infringing on the game the game ends up with the same situation.
