New to FINAL FANTASY XI? Xbox 360 Beta Tester? CHECK THIS THREAD!!!

Any questions regarding FFXI functioning on the XBOX360 can be asked in the Hardware forum. Any game related questions about FFXI on the XBOX360 (or just XBOX360 users asking a question regarding FFXI game related functions) may be asked on the appropiate Dreams in Vana'Diel forum. Beta specific server discussion can take place on All server Conference Hall forum unless there is a specific forum for the Beta test, at which point it is recommended that you use the supplied forum for discussion.

I just want to point out to a lot of newcomers that this site has been around since before the release of Final Fantasy XI, even in Japan. There are countless threads in here that have covered thousands of subjects, and chances are everything you're looking for has been discussed at some point and time in these last few years.

Please use the search function, I implore you! In addition, some of the most important threads regarding various subjects have been stickied at the top of forums of relevance. Are you looking to find more about how to play as a Dark Knight or Summoner? Check the Dark Knight and Summoner forums. I know for a fact that there are stickies there with FAQs and other useful information in those two forums, and plenty in the others.

Apparently there is a large amount of people who've started playing after getting the game for the holidays. In addition, the Xbox 360 beta has begun, bringing in a massive influx of new players. And as usual, people are finding out every day that World of Warcraft sucks. (Just kidding. Not really.)

What I'm saying is, there are already a huge amount of threads here that don't need to be here. I'm not being mean on purpose, but I'd like to let everyone know that with the launch of FFXI on yet another platform, the Administration team, particularly myself, will be doing all we can to keep the boards clean of spam and as easy-to-navigate as possible. If you've failed to search on your subject or at least look at some nearby threads and your post is monotonous, it will be closed. Search function is your friend, people. Chances are you'll get your answers faster by searching than just posting something random, as that thread will just be closed.

With that said, I'd love to welcome all newcomers, Xbox 360 or not, to FFXIonline.com, the first and best English-based community for FINAL FANTASY XI!

Here here! FFXIO, large enough to have many meaningful and interesting posts a day, yet small enough to avoid what I call KI syndrome. The mass stupidity disease that plagues several other forums. Don't get me wrong, we have a few idiots on here, but for the most part they're mocked into silence.

GTFO and STFU etc. (you suxckorszzz!!!111one) It gets really annoying fast. There are several posters on this forum who don't speak English as their first language. You can tell a difference b/w that, and people just being lazy or retarded. We even gave Darkages the benefit of the doubt until he said you knows how to speak and type proper English, but he doesn't b/c he's "lazy". I honestly think he's spent more time typing replies to people giving him crap about it and trying to explain himself, then he would spend if he'd just type right.

I enjoy having the opportunity to converse with people of different cultural backgrounds. My problem is with the general lack of intelligence on many other forums.

I like to play on the PC. I play on the PC with my PS2 controller. If you're going to play on your 360 I highly recommend getting a keyboard.
