    ooooooohhhhhh Diabolos!!! /drools uncontrolably.... I might have to take a small vacation from my "vacation" ^~ must at least see him and get ripped to pieces by him... or win... whichever

            Fight is very simmilar to PM3-5.

            He spams Sleepga II, Dispel, Dispelga, Nightmare

            Key is stunning Nightmare.

            He also does some dmg bloodpacts but blinks block them.

            Cursga is a pain, but only really bad if you get hit then nightmared.

            His 2hr just did a lot of DMG drk carol seemed to help with that.

            He buffs him self up so you need to dispel.

            We just took it slow, NIN tanked it 3x BLMs nuked and stuned, I ballad / carol / dispel / elegy / mached. And a whm to cure. We won on the 3rd try.

                70 maegs 75 melee no question, this is a hard one to even think about leeching. Didnt win and gave up after 2 tries due to people in zone (160+ ftw), but with SMNx4 NIN and RDM we were able to get him down to 25%, only stun was from Chaotic Strike (it actually worked lol). Nightmare is the only really bad thing here, other than that, he is kinda weaker than Fenrir prime.

                  Like Fenrir, if not harder. (See the thread in smn forum for my experience with him...)

                  I'm impressed that you were able to get into the battlefield 3 times... with the mob on Carbuncle, it took 2 hours to get in (at least tonight).

                  Our ninja claimed that she had shadows up when she got nailed by Nether Blast - did you actually see it being absorbed, or did he just not use it against you (or did you stun it?)

                    We were the 1st complete party to the battleground, after 1st wipe there were only about 2 groups there. It was only for 3rd attempt we had to wait since about 76 ppl by that point.

                    We were the first party to win on Bismarck, but it didn't take long for our record to be beaten. We took it nice and slow and sure.

                    As for Nether Blast I don't recall exactly how much that did, but I do recall some attacks absorb 1 + 2 shields. I was the bard so pretty busy singing the entire time and when not singing cureing / eraseing.

                      We didn't have a bard, it seems like Dark Carol may be mandatory as there is no other way to get significant resist dark.

                      What was the rest of your pt setup? How effective were different jobs at dealing damage to him? How did you deal with Nightmare?

                          Im gonna try tonight, Ill go as SMN/RDM Since dispel is 32 and can be used with high success rate as subbed. I used it for NM and fenrir in the past with good results. So i'll try it here.

                            We waited for half hour... then our ls decided to gave up and come back when it was emptier. So I just went to bed no Diablos for me yet, figured I'd just let the crowd die and get him when I get him /lesigh

                              IMO best way to deal with nightmare is Stun it, you can paralyze him and hope it kicks in.

                              When I summon him his astral flow ability is a randomized dia, in the BG he does a lot more then I do with him outside of combat, but it didn't kill us so I don't know if it's % based or not. We'll have to have someone post that they have been killed by his 2hr.

                                On a side note about Nightmare as a Blood Pact, it seems recently unsleepable mobs such as the Hippos can be slept by this ability. I've yet to confirm if this works on any undead or shadows (things of that nature), but if so, that Blood Pact alone would make Diabolos worth every effort (assuming this is a stronger form of sleepga, who knows, maybe with enough time on your hands, a SMN could safely hold claims, say, in holding NMs until backup arrives). Also I've got a feeling that Nightmare can be stacked on top of Poison for a double DoT effect while at the same time imobilizing, but I've yet to confirm it. Nightmare in Ballista anyone? :D
