Next Version Update ind December!

FINAL FANTASY XI Development Team (11/16/2005):



The next version update is currently in development and is scheduled for release in mid-December. Planned content include:

-Additions to the Fellowship system
-New areas
-New quests
-Additions and adjustments to the battle system
-Additions to fishing
...and more additions and changes covering a wide range of activities!

In addition, this section (FINAL FANTASY XI main page "Topics") will soon undergo changes. The Topics section has traditionally been used to report version update information, as well as changes that are in development, as they are made public. Soon Topics will change to include comments from the developers on upcoming changes and more. We hope you enjoy the new format.

Valkurm does not have 3x Dark, so it HAS to be Dynamis-Valkurm.

Additionally, there is a rumor going on in Killing Ifrit's forums about these areas. Supposedly there will be a Dynamis-Valkurm, a Dynamis-Tavnazian Safehold, a Dynamis-Buburimuru Penninsula, and a Dynamis-Qufim. Additionally, there will be a 30 cap for these. AF3 or AF rings will possibly drop here.

A Dynamis for us Lv.30 people, eh? I've been wanting a Low-Level Dynamis FOREVER, so I can actually enjoy a 64-man raid (Though I'm almost Lv.65 now).

Of course, it's just a rumor.

(Valkurm? My god! Vanguard trains and noobs revisted! It will indeed be the hardest Dynamis ever. =P)

THAT IS Dynamis-Valkrum. Expect Bibiki, Safehold, and Qufim as well.

Hehe, summons? I don't think so yet. I bet an arabic being in ToA(Odin or Alexander maybe).

Those are not rumors... those are plain-out attention grabbing lies. If SE hints at something and someone expands on it, then its a rumor. That has no base, what-so-ever.

edit & disclaimer: the following is the translation of the page at the Japanese POL website which includes the information that the original post of this thread is presenting. it's provided here in an effort to bring more accurate and detailed informations to u, as there r slight differences between the JP page and that of NA website.

this translation is not intended in any way to provide my opinions regarding this matter, but rather it's purely a translation of the said page. (i just felt i should put this here after i posted this.)

The next update, currently under a development and testing phase, is planned for mid-December. There will be new features and changes in a variety of fields, including further additions to Fellowship just like previous updates [have added new features to the system], release of new areas not announced before, new quests, additions and adjustments to the battle system, and new system utilizing fishing.

This "Topics" section has been a place where the planned features and changes under development are announced, once they have undergone the testing phases and have been determined to be included in the upcoming updates. From this update, we plan to go one step further, and will include the more detailed informations about the upcoming new features and changes, such as their intensions [as to why they have been developed], and how they are expected to affect the game. Stay tuned for the upcoming informations.

Also, as announced previously, Xbox 360 will go on sale on Dec 10, and beta testing of Xbox 360 version [of Final Fantasy XI] will start simultaneously, for those users who purchase the "Xbox 360 Special Launch Pack," which will be available on a limited quantity. The mid-December update will be applied to this beta version, at the same time they are made available to users of PS2 and Windows.

NA website has it just as "additions to fishing," but JP has it as the above. it's probably not just "additions," but something different.

yeah, they would be "comments from the developers on upcoming changes," but JP website had it a little more detailed as to what will be provided.

3. 3rd paragraph, regarding Xbox 360

well, it's just for ppl in Japan, no wonder it didn't show up in the NA website. yet, for those of u who plan to import it, or r living in Japan, it must be good to know that u'd be playing a beta w/ the updated contents, rather than getting stuck w/ old ones.

Ill just wait till when updates come out on the Playonline site.. Id like some new areas though, and low level dynamis would be really kewl! Im also really excited about the new expansion.. Sigh. I just hope we get more to do, and more areas to explore. ^^
