Lol, I have no clue. I know I heard before of some talk of them making Daylight Savings Time shift by 2hrs before, something about the worlds axis shifting enough that 1hr no longer gets you the light savings as it did in the past. All I do know is the one major thing stopping it was Airlines stating something about it affecting all their international flights and such, something that made no sense to me.

Jet lag is jet lag. Normal daylight savings time doesnt affect flights, and I dont think other countries do it (could be way off on that).

4pm till 2am in England. Nothing like coming home from work and missing another day of FFXI. Nice to see the Japanese subscribers being hit as little as possible as usual. Paying more for less of a service is something S-E have down to an artform with their Euro and US playerbase.

The recent 10 hour maintenece was extended by at least an hour if not a few minutes. But they thought it was going to be extended I just hope this 10 hour of bordem wont have an extention.

When i spoke to them yesterday they said that they needed to replace hardware. (i called to talk about port settings and thaught i'd ask about all the maintenece) I'm still new to ffxi and in the 2 weeks i've been playing theres been mainenence 3 times. I was assured that there won't be so much maintenece in the future. so according to the phone guy things can only get better from here

Well at leat money is spent to fix things. Be glad there are maintence if shit happens.

If you ever peer into the tech support field, you'll know that active maintences is a good thing.

Nothing magically get fixed, and problems don't come with 3 day notices

Holy hell! 10 hours?!
That's five 2hrs that I could have wasted!

It goes to show you that the pain of DDoS attacks are huge.
(If you didn't know about it, check the information part a bit ofen. Some asshat decided to have fun and DDoS the Playonline main login server. Don't think anything happened to the FFXI ones).

PRAY! that we DON'T! get an extension!

Well look on the bright side. With all the maintenances ending late on US/EU peak play time, most HNM's like Faf, VV, etc. Are reset into US/EU time ^^ I like logging in after an 18hr maintenance and watching faf run around unclaimed ^^
