Yeah, Tipsy has a point. Not to dash anyone's hope or excitement, but did you guys hear these rules?

From POL (the website doesn't state this):

• Each participant acknowledges that, when becoming finalists, he/she is required to be physically present at the location of the Final Tournament. However, as a sole exception, up to 3 participants per team may join the matches from any locations via internet.
  
• If the finalist is minor, it will be necessary to obtain consent from his/her parent or guardian to attend the Final Tournament.
  
• The participants acknowledge that Square Enix and the sponsors will not pay or reimburse any expense incurred by the participants for attending the Final Tournament, including but not limited to transportation or lodging.

According to http://na.square-enix.com/events/ffx.../schedule.html, the Finals and championships are held on:

Final 8: December 10th (Sat.) - December 11th (Sun.)
Final 4: December 17th (Sat.) - December 18th (Sun.)
Championship Battles: To be determined

But, no location is listed. Pretty close to semester finals and xmas.

Yes, very true. The whole "You need to be here in person" is weeding out a few of the "not'so'serious" LS's. I think as a premeditative act all LS's should do is decide who would volunteer to go. I know I personally have along side with another guy from my team.

Just something you may want to consider before you join a team.

/sigh.. You have to know someone who's starting a team. I don't know anybody who'd let me play with them

One of the best ballista Nin's I know. Hinatakun, is starting a group, you should talk to him.

Unfortunatly I wont be participating this year. I'm not ready, simple as that. Next year for certain, if they do this, you'll see me out on the battlfield. I the meantime I will keep moseying along, geting the things I want for somthing like this. And training a team of my own.

The crowns have Enchantment: Teleport <1/1 0:30/[24:00:00,0:30]>

The Laurel uses 20 Ballista Points and the Stars uses 50 Ballista Points to teleport.

The JP finals are seriously good. And half of it was item spam.

Whoever participates should find sponsors, and for their world donations, unless they're rich themselves.. though chances are good most balista's have good income if it weren't for lottery.

I really like the switch and bait mnk rape tactic in one of the fights. The mnk thought he owned the field with no one bothering to hit him, and just chased people around, then they went after the mage, made him run away, and turn on the mnk mid way when he was carelessly following like cow waiting for slaughter.

I would love to go see the finals, that would be really awesome. Then again, to participate in it would be even better.

I am intersted to see what kind of hidden effect the items granted might posess, but I doubt anyone from Lakshimi will be there. It seems like no one in our server is talking about it much ; ;
