    PlayOnline Scheduled Maintenance (Aug. 8)

    At the following time, we will be performing PlayOnline server maintenance. During this period, PlayOnline, Tetra Master and FINAL FANTASY XI will be unavailable.

    The "Friend List Plus" feature, as well as the "Q&A" feature accessible from the official PlayOnline homepage (http://www.playonline.com/) will be unavailable as well.

    You may also experience delays when sending mail through the "PlayOnline Mail" system.

    It looks like the troubles on Aug. 12th are taking their toll on server maintenence. It's a biggie.

      .... english site says "Aug. 8, 2005 from 8:00 to Aug. 9, 2005 18:00" that's 24+10 = 34 hours

      Japanese site says 時： 2005年8月9日(火) 0:00より18:00頃まで which means 8/9 from 0 until 18 = 18 hours....

      which one should we trust.

        Seriously, the jp time is prolly correct and someone screwed up the time conversion on the NA site.

        That is 34 hours. But, on your japanese site at:

        It says:
        "日　時： 2005年8月9日(火) 0:00より18:00頃まで"

        That is 18 hours. Are they both correct?

                Still long. Not as long... Both JST and PDT times are now in sync. 18 hours... oy...

                I guess SE got my memo. The least they could do is gimme a buck off on my next bill. This isn't the first time I've sent them a bug report.

                  *We confirmed that the previous information about the maintenance schedule was incorrect. However, the information has been corrected. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.
                  At the very least, they admitted their mistake.

                        I think they said they were changing servers or something. Which if they were doing same thing at the hospital where I work that would be like 2 weeks of downtime. And, USUALLY, stuff like that they overestimate the time needed to fix it, often it takes less than the time they give for something like this. Though this is SE who I cant recall them ever finishing an update on time, so who knows.
