Re: Heavensward DX9/11 Benchmark
Put the thing on max everything (except 1920x1080) and got:
7516
25.008 sec
Extremely High
Game looks SOOO much better in DX11. The armors don't make me cry on the inside up close anymore.

Re: Heavensward DX9/11 Benchmark
I have a DX12 card in SLi! Where the fuck is the support Squenix? And no 4k resolution? Really? #PreOrderCancelled
Being serious though, I'm genuinely wondering if I can get Heavensward running at 120FPS. One thing that baffled me is that it considers an average of 30FPS as high. I'm sure there's a PS4 Limitations joke in there somewhere.
4K I'm not too bothered about. GTAV is the only PC game that actually supports 4k but oh god does the game chug. That game really isn't optimised for 4k at all.

One caveat: I only had one GTX980 enabled while running that Benchmark because XIV's support for SLi is still shocking and needs to be addressed. I will make my 120Hz monitors worth the purchase yet, goddammit!Last edited by Firewind; 04-27-2015, 03:33 PM.Rahal Gerrant - Balmung - 188 DRK

Re: Heavensward DX9/11 Benchmark
I think they did a fantastic job with the DX11. I tried running the preset for Laptop - High, and the game still looked nice. For most players in the states (not sure about EU players), the biggest cockblock isn't what your PC is displaying, but it's the internet connection to the Quebec servers.
Decided to run it again at 1920x1080..

Re: Heavensward DX9/11 Benchmark
Yeah joking aside the game is extremely well optimised (though given the PS4 is involved it kind of has to). I just find it amusing that it is using things like 1080 and 60FPS as a major selling point where PC users have had 60FPS since the 80's and 1080p since the late 90's, and it won't run as that on the PS4 anyway because current gen console hardware is not up to snuff. Though one good thing about it is that because the PS4 and Xbox One are just mid-low range gaming PCs running a proprietory OS, there are far less porting disasters all around.Rahal Gerrant - Balmung - 188 DRK

I'm fairly sure that Jarre selling his Y-Fronts is highly illegal under several biological and chemical terrorism laws. Some of them are weapons grade.Rahal Gerrant - Balmung - 188 DRK
