    It's less it's bad compared to ilv100 (for certain slots, they are potentially Best in Slot) and more it isn't really worth the sheer amount of gil you will drop into it.

    And yes there's no craftable 8Lv90 Accessories which basically means all the money I put into melding out my Goldsmithing and Mining gear has gone to waste. Oh well, at least Culinarian is still a nice money maker.

      Yeah I honestly hate where they've taken crafting.

      In 1.23, DoH and DoL really mattered, and materia was a LOT stronger (wish they'd never changed savage might or savage aim tbh they were fine as they were). Now they don't mean much at all (except CUL and maybe ALC on occasion) and materia is pretty worthless compared to raid gear. Really disappointed in YP going back on his original philosophy of having raid gear be better initially, but fully melded HQ crafted gear being superior (due to the risk & skill involved).

      It's quite honestly insulting, and a big reason of why I don't enjoy the game as much as I did in 1.23 - I spent around 60~75% of my time crafting & gathering in 1.23 because I genuinely enjoyed it and it was worthwhile.

        The problem with crafted gear being better was pretty much show in SWTOR. You could craft gear equivalent to the best raiding gear in that game due to how the crafting system worked very easily. So you would have people in full BiS with no idea how to play their class because they just farmed a lot of Credits.

        Crafted gear should never be BiS for all slots.

          Crafted and augmented with materia though - so it's gonna cost you unless you get stupidly lucky with the RNG. Was just fine in 1.23, only the rates were a bit too low and losing the item on a failed attempt was BS.

          Also gives them reason to have materials drop from raid bosses (kinda like abjuration gear in XI). Any materials wouldn't be EX, but bring back abjurations that are so that you still need to be able to do the raids for the materials etc. and not just have some random FC member craft the best gear for you.

          See? Not difficult.
