Check youtube ... sometimes someone is nice enough to upload it. Conversely, might want to check Twitch to see if they have an archive.

That was my question, but didn't get enough votes.

Like 90% of the Q&A was about housing and I hated it... I mean honestly it pisses me off when this sorta thing happens. We get a rare opportunity for the lead devs to directly answer our questions and the bulk of it is fluff.

Nevermind that FATE being the only good way to level is destructive and other content needs to be buffed. At least we confirmed some balance stuff.

When they make it possible to accept DF prompts while engaged in a leve, you'll see more people using them.

That's not the problem, the problem is lack of incentive. It's too goddamn easy to level up on FATE. It requires little effort or gear for most classes, just form a party and get even just 1 action off and you get gold every time.

              And people complained about Abyssea...

                Re: 9th Live Letter Summary

Well that's my problem. FATEs are fun to do between leves, but I'd rather do leves over FATEs for the aetherial equipment drops. Since I can't exit a leve to accept a DF prompt, I'm forced to do FATEs.

                  Re: 9th Live Letter Summary

Tbh, I've been looking forward to this housing information since summer. <_<

I see a lot more grinding dungeons for exp than grinding FATEs, with FATEs or DoH/DoL stuff filling the gaps. I haven't done metrics or anything because I don't really care about optimal leveling strategies or whatever, but in the right dungeon you can get thousands of exp per mob, which seems pretty competitive to the 12-15k exp you can get every few minutes from gold medals on FATEs before you even factor in things like drops and tomestones and such, and the downtime between FATEs in most areas. But I see people getting burned out doing that as well. Any time you commit yourself to doing the same thing over and over because it's the most economical strategy without considering whether it's fun or not, you're just asking for a bad time, imo.

That seems to be a problem for most everyone. They get stuck in a cutscene, or are in a middle of a leve, or are in a heated FATE and don't see the notification (the UI tends to bug out like that) and they are not able to accept the DF.

I agree with TM on both accounts (I've been wanting the player housing for a while now) I don't see FATE grinding either ... I see more of an opportunistic "crash a FATE party", but not a sustained group effort, mostly because most FATEs tend to be sporadic and most groups get disbanded if there hasn't been a new FATE happening in 15 minutes after the last one concluded.

                      Re: 9th Live Letter Summary

Well on Excalibur most FATE end as quickly as they begin as they are just swarmed by people. And they're vastly more efficient in terms of EXP.

If they'd just buff the other content accordingly things would be great. Dungeons in particular should offer increased SB rates and a gil/seal reward at the end for speedy completion (in addition to increased EXP so that it's on par with doing an equivalent amount of FATE in the allotted time). This way people can do whatever content they like and still level at a good pace.
