    Says you can transfer from a new world to a legacy world, but not from a legacy world to a new world. They want to offer the service, but'll watch the economic conditions beforehand and can't yet say when they'll be able to do it.

    So... arent we all on legacy worlds? so we can still transfer to each others server?

      Oh taht's bullshit, most of my buddies are on the newer worlds (several on Lamia) which means I can't join them since I'm on Excalibur.

          I'm not restarting. No way. My friends are annoyed, but they understand that I honestly do not feel like redoing the entire story and all that leveling again, just to be able to run the odd dungeon together.

          And I'm getting very annoyed putting off main story progression because I don't want to get too far ahead of them. I SHOULD be working on my relic weapons but I'm not - instead I'm crafting & gathering while working my combat roles up to 38 (so I can start converting older sets into materia and save space).

            They keep talking about impact on the economy but I find it strange considering just how many max level crafters there are already and how prevalent the RMT is anyway. Competition is good, no? Driving prices downward would surely reduce the powers of the RMT, since SE isn't nearly doing anything about them (the same old warp hackers, the same old RMT shouters, and my blacklist never got any shorter from the night before)

                  Anyone interested in hopping to Balmung would always be welcome and I'd be happy to help people find a good Linkshell and/or Free Company. My own FC, Eorzean Union is mostly EU players, but we have lots of Americans too.

                    What time are ya'll active, Firewind? Currently on an EU server because that's what a friend was one when I joined but we're planning on moving when all this goes down. I've found late mornings here are primetime for EU servers but by the time I get on pretty late at night its significantly slower.

                      There's a good number of EU and NA players on Balmung in general. We tend to play during EU Prime Time but there's a few Late Night (EU Time) players as well.

                      It's basically a server with a good enough population for you to be able to find a group of people to play with at all hours.
