Would anyone believe that "a set drop rate" and "random chance" are not mutually exclusive, when the drop rate isn't set to 1 or 0?

They need to add in a requirement that you have your relevant Garuda Weapon and a significant chunk of Darklight/Relic Armour before you even get the option to queue Titan HM on a class.

Basically I took a short break from the game to get settled into the new job and, in that time my FC has basically ended up burning out on Titan HM, so very few are willing to help out on it. Been stuck PUGging it to get my Relic with the occasional FC friend in their second or third relic queueing with me in voice. This is what I have seen this week:

• Paladins with less than 5-5.1k HP, and Warriors with under 7k HP so they die to the first Mountain Buster
• Healers and DDs that have less than 3.5k HP so they are impossible to keep up without babysitting
• Tanks that refuse to use defensive Cooldowns for the first Mountain Buster while the healers ares till healing everyone from the transition from heart phase
• Healers that don't precast AoE Heals
• Ranged DDs that don't gather for Geocrush
• Casters that wait until they have finished casting THEN attempt to move out of the Ao-oh he's dead again.
• People that stand on the red line during Geocrush
• MNKs and BLMs that think that just because they have cooldowns that let them stand in the landslide, also means that it is a good idea.
• WHMs that don't stoneskin the tank
• Healers that don't cleanse the people that just got broken out of the rocks. Nine times out of ten it's a wipe if they don't cleanse a DD
• Healers that stand in the Landslide
• Scholars that don't bubble for Geocrush
• Healers that don't precast AoE for Geocrush and Stomp
• WHMs that spam Medica II when the tank is clearly undergeared
• Groups that insist on building LB for Heart. - I've actually started leaving that moment because if you need the LB to finish the heart you don't have the DPS to win the fight.
• DDs that don't even have Ifrit Weapons, I have seen some running around with Darklight, GC and even Lv44 White and Green Weapons
• People not bothering to use food
• People dropping plumes on each other
• People not properly lining up behind Titan for plumes in the final phase, wiping the party
• People that can't be bothered to learn the bomb patterns for the final phase
• People that stand next to the tank in the final phase
• People that simply won't say "Hey guys, first time here."
• Idiots who bought a Relic weapon and have no idea how to play their class.
• People who are unable to take even the slightest bit of constructive criticism, or even a suggestion like "Don't stand in the Landslide" or "Don't stand next to the bombs when they explode"
• Melee classes that insist that melee classes have it harder then die to that one single pre-heart plume that was dropped on them.

You were going on about people in AK, an entry level dungeon you can do in AF gear and whites, not a boss fight that has a genuine gear requirement since attempting it while undergeared means you can't be kept up through the AoE. Big difference.

If they require a Garuda weapon, I'm out of luck. I've run it 63 times thus far without seeing my weapon drop.

61 attempts at the fight this week across 15 random parties ad only 3 so far have progressed past the heart phase and that was only because FC members queued with me to have a shot at a 3rd relic...

Been at Titan for 2 months now and it is literally the only content I can do since I need it to unlock Coil.

It also shows why cross server queueing needs to die in a fucking fire. If you get a genuine good group, and out of those 60+ attempts across the 15 group finder groups, 5 of the groups stick out as being geared and good, but were ruined by some idiot ragequitting or one idiot, usually a WHM, standing in stuff.

It always means that that promising group that was getting somewhere has to disband because of that one arsehole who is going to do the same thing after 15 mins anyway.

I actually have the stats noted down:

• 8 PLD Main Tanks under 5.4k HP (making Mountain Buster unsurvivable)
• 3 WAR Main Tanks under 7k HP (making Mountain Buster unsurvivable)
• 37 Undergeared DD (No primal weapon or gear to put them over 3.5k HP to make the Stomps in Phase 5 survivable)
• 35 First Deaths being the WHM not moving out of shit
• 15 wipes in total caused by Healers not cleansing someone that was broken out of the rock.
• 48 wipes caused by Healers not precasting
• Last one standing in 47 fights (Not counting wipes at the heart phase when more than one are standing or times where I was rocked and everyone ignored me)
• 8 deaths due to errors on my part
• 6 deaths caused by someone running at me during Plumes
• 1 Death caused by me forgetting to pause Steam Downloads
• 38 comments to the effect of "WTF I moved out of it!" by people that didn't move at all.
• 7 parties collapsing due to someone ragequitting after 1-2 wipes.
• 3 Fights, that's fights not parties, where we passed the Heart Phase
• 1 Fight where Heart Phase was passed without having to build the LB

Yeah I had that happen in WP the other day with this moron PLD who kept trying to run through everything. Yes, you do need to stay mobile at points in that dungeon but this guy just ran through everything over & over without even stopping to flash. Then he'd die and get the rest of us killed.
