Anyone else find it way lame that you cna actually level crafting through leves by not crafting? You can go buy the required items through the markets and then go turn it in and get the experience. LAME. They should make it so you cna only turn in items that you actually crafted...

There's pros on cons to it really. I like how you can just buy the things if the materials aren't available o nthe AH or you can't farm them yourself. it does make replacing crafters in the guild easier too. But yeah it is all a bit too easy.

Leve experience is fucking bonkers. If you have allowances to burn, 15 HQ items will get you 5 levels. And this is post-nerf. It used to only take 10.

Yeah how do you think I hit 50 on every craft so fast?

It helped that I had BSM and CRP to 45 already, and the rest to 30 but the required XP in the lower levels is nothing - the 1-time boosts give you massive exp for synthing each recipe. Once you can start HQ'ing regularly it becomes a joke and your only limitation are your leve allowance totals.

Leves are better for money than dalies too. You can only stack a max of 12 dalies vs 100 leves (let's face it, if your leve count ever hits 100 you're doing it wrong), and while you get more money per daily overall, you can do as many leves in one day as you want and the bonus items can be very lucrative, especially if it's a material that is a guaranteed sale, of bit of gear you can spiritbond.

That reminds me I haven't tried a single gathering leve since the patch, it said in the notes that they increased the gil rewards though.

My leve count hit 100 on my main and the 5 alts. I cheated though ... I didn't log in for 32 out of the last 37 days. :p

(the alts were to get shards ... leveling to airship pass and craft to 10 on those five alts were half the time spent if i had to mind-numbingly farm them on my main ... and as a result, I also got 150K richer in the process)

Dude jacked the allagan striking ring off me in coil tonight. The group had agreed it was mine, as I asked politely and no one else needed it. Would have been 1 more BiS down, and great for the nexr 3 runs. Instead dipshit out greeds me, and then just leaves the party without saying a word, pissing everyone off and we just gave up for the night after that.


I swear Excalibur is full of the greediest mother fuckers... I reported him, as it's a ToS violation to do that. They want us to play by our own loot rules to reduce drama, and discourage assholes like this SOB. I've lost track now of how many times I have been hosed out of something I really could use, often for the benefit of my FC or consecutive runs with the group. Some people are just utterly disgusting. My 1st Coil win ever was awesome, and both DRG Mail and Belt dropped, but I didn't need either and let the others in the group have it and they all thanked me. And it's happened a few other occasions as well in CT and other stuff.

Silly me for thinking others would extend the same courtesy.

The best PvP job out there in FFIV is what, warrior? I need to start PvP soon and need to know what job to go with. I hear mages get fucked so...
