I got hit by a thunderbolt from the side for 3700+, and a 7k AoE from roughly behind and to the side.

Plus again, most of the time I can't even see him, nevermind the AoE indicators because SE stupidly didn't prioritize displaying NMs over other players.

So you don't really know if it came from his side, his back or wherever, because he doesn't appear on the screen due to the whacked display priorities of the game. For all you know, he only had a frontal cone AOE and was focused on someone standing next to you? I really don't think these outdoor bosses were designed to wipe groups from the word "go", unless he's not suppose to be beaten at 50 (e.g., maybe he's a level 75 HNM)

No when I took the 7k hit I could clearly see him in that particular instance. I was by his left hind leg.

I don't know WHAT hit me exactly, only that I got whacked for 7040 (I believe it was a crit). Seemed like a spike fail if I had to wager a guess, but that's typically a dragon attack.

The server was lagging, is my guess, and that Behemoth was not facing away from you, but probably *at* you. And when it lags that much or due to display priorities, there's no marking, that cone like thing, so you could see you were sitting in it. Outdoor fights are just really hard to do, I mean I remember the end of beta event for FFXI, and you couldn't see the monster at all, let alone any friends that were partied/allianced with you, and it was frustrating.

It seems that SE has really poor network engineers at the helm. They need to hire some ASAP to get their game in the right place. It works if you limit the number of players, but that's not really an MMORPG when you start to place restrictions like that.

Also, how did you end up with a low HP pool like that? One of my friends who hit 50 on his WAR three weeks ago has like 5.7K and he's not even in the best gear ...

Not a troll ... it's essentially a counter-shout to all the elitism going-on in the game. I don't think having the best gear compensates for lack of ability. I don't think impatience and snapping at players, especially new ones, help to make them any better. And I definitely do not believe in forming Dream Teams in this game because let's face it, there is no "world first", "server first" and no one can really prove who is legitimate or not (you posted that thread with the instant level 50 crafting ... I'm going to say that there's quite a bit of multi-50 non-legacy players that used the same or similar exploits/hack)

Pugging in the duty finder is killing me. Its why I'm putting off story line Garuda and doing Darkhold for the grand company quest. Titan was a nightmare that at one point had the tank and healer calling me an idiot for not using my limit break to damage Titan's heart (I'm a bard, I'll leave it at that). So ready for server changes so I can get somewhere with people I'm comfortable with and start doing some more organized runs.

I've still never done a limit break. From what i understand only 1 person can use it in the party and then it's done. I would think there would be a gameplan on when to use the limit break and what exactly you'd be using it for. It doesn't seem like it would really be an unexpected use type of deal. But then again, I've never used it so I'm not really sure.

Helps in a pinch .. I had an Aussie pug who had horrendous latency on the last boss of Stone Vigil, so on one of the last times the dragon took off, I used LB to boost damage mitigation of everyone, and that helped the pug to live through a breath attack that would otherwise kill him.

tbh, the heart is probably *the* best phase to use it in because if you don't kill it fast enough it's an auto-loss, same as with Ifrit's Pillars or Garuda's Plumes. With only 4 people and him trapping 1 of them, it can get bad fast.
