Regarding Preparations to Increase the Capacity of our Data Centers (Aug. 27)
Re: Regarding Preparations to Increase the Capacity of our Data Centers (Aug. 27)
Wouldn't it make more sense to add more Worlds besides servers, mew? I don't think adding servers to expand current worlds would provide as significant amount of more space than brand new Worlds entirely.

J9 that makes no sense. Why add more servers, so players can just flood in and crash it and it will just give SE more to deal with instead of just increasing the overall capacity of the servers themselves so they're not shelling out money for brand new fucking server. Please think next time.

Oh mew, you are one not thinking, Melody. New servers have much much greater capacity than simply increasing the overall capacity of the current worlds (which would only increase the amount of server player space by about 1,000. Compare that to each new server adding more space for about 5,000-6,000 worth of people at the sametime. ) After the implementations, the current worlds are going to be full "faster" than the new servers, since obviously new servers have more room to fill. It's basic math, mew. That's why they are adding more worlds besides simply expanding the current servers a bit more. Also increasing server space for current servers could create a problem in an increase in overpopulation in certain zones. It could make it a little easier to join those servers, but I wonder if the increase in size might raise overcrowding in some zones, which might make servers more laggy. If the servers can handle it, then okay, but the servers at their maximum now are really sensitive.

I'm gonna cease talking to you altogether on the forums now. Not gonna waste brain cells. Right now I can't even get in the game so I'm already pissed, I had shit to do tonight and this sets me back a day.

You basically don't have the brain cells to understand something as simple as that, mew. Nice attempt at making yourself seem smarter, despite actually believing that expanding existing worlds make a bigger difference than adding brand new worlds. The "logic" of some people......

No J9. You're just stroking your own ego. That's why I don't care, just like a good 90% of the forum doesn't care for you. Queue Cid please. Moving on, unsubscribing from this thread. I'm tired and I don't feel like saying anything that will get me another infraction. Also don't insult my intelligence, it's not nice when you don't understand me. You're not cute either J9 with your "mews" at the end of your sentances, your trying to invoke childish innocence which is long dead on most of us. But do as you will, I'm just thankful we're not on the same server.
Also what would adding more world's do, it wouldn't fix the occuring problems, not to mention there are already players stationed in their own worlds who don't feel like moving nor would care to, I'm assuming the 1.0 Legacy players (being you) don't care to move. Adding more worlds will simply bolster the need to perform a mait on all worlds more often. Instead of just increasing the overall capacity, not to mention new players will simply flock to the other worlds, flood it and the cycle will start a new. It's like having two backpacks J9, what is the point of carrying a second one, when you can simply expand your first one. But like you said I have no brain cells and therefore my logic must be flawed. I mean I forgot you work for SE.
P.S. - Now I see why Ygg/Cid have a very low tolerance for you.

You see, your argument proves you are a fool, and that's a polite way to put it, mew. By your logic, people should have 1 massive luggage instead of multiple luggages. One bloated container, instead of multiple containers

I'm not a legacy player, and despite leveling in current server (when I can log in), I rather move to a new big world instead of a current world that will be filled faster than a new world would. Stretching the cap on these servers isn't going to provide as much room as new worlds will provide. Both solutions together work better than only one. Yes the new servers could max out, but simpletons are going to continue trying to get into servers that are still full. The legacy and most iconic servers are going to continue to have more traffic issues than the new ones.

Cool off, mew, as you pointed out there's plenty of ways to skin a cat.
