Actually the main reason Skill/Spell Speed is low priority is because the game always works on a 2.5 sec GDC regardless of if an ability has a recast lower than that.

And Spell Speed is 100% worthless for SMN and SCH. Pets make up 30%+ of your damage (healing varies) and they gain nothing from Spell Speed. Crit and Det on the other hand scales stupidly well with them. Dropping Crit or Det to get 2 spells off a little faster (but not really) is not worth it. It's like stacking Skill Speed as a WAR: it's pretty much worthless over stacking VIT and Parry because the amount you have to stack to even make it worthwhile will just cripple you.

I didn't say it was worth it to go for spell speed on those jobs, just that if it happens to be on your BiS item it's not totally useless lol.

But very close. And I don't know where you're pulling the that nonsense but I can tell you from experience I have noticed when having a lot of SS allows me to sneak in more WS before buffs wear off. The problem however is that SS really just bleeds your TP faster - it needs to either increase TP regeneration in tandem or at least speed up your autoattacks. I would prefer the latter, especially with the old TP system as (and I've said this a bunch of times now) that would help distinguish MNK and DRG further.

As for DRG, I really wish they'd give us back +Crit damage... DRG was such a power house in 1.23 and now it's mediocre. Our only saving grace really is that Disembowl helps bards do a bit more damage, otherwise Monk outdamages DRG by a good margin and even has dispel while we got lolSlow that pretty much every major boss resists anyway (and it's not like it even does that much unlike in XI where Slow was crippling)

I finally did it. I got a party that wasn't full of incompetent, leeching rubes - people who actually earned their gear and we freaking 1-shot thunder****!

Decided Elvan was to gimp and used my fantasia potion to change my character to a Rogedon, the dragoon gear looks much better on it. Also our FC went from a small house to medium and we have a good view of the fireworks.




And erm acheivements..... Leather is 50, carpenter 43, BSM 40, Alchemy 38, BTN 31 & mining 23. going to eventually get all crafts to 50 so I can thin my gear requirement out.

Yeah I like Elezen but the running animations bug me too much. My alt was going to be an Elezen but ended up going Midander instead.

Finally got my SCH Nexus, then 1 day later got my High Allagan Grimoire Of Healing. Oh well, time to crack on with my WHM Nexus, only another 2,000 points to grind out.

almost at 17, and I gotta say they stepped their game - the ROG class quests are infinitely more entertaining than the others. I can't wait to unlock NIN!

I was a little disappointed though that the 1st non-stat related trait you get is reduced fall damage... oh, yay. But at 20 we get a permanent speed boost so WHOO!

I'm liking rogue, the animations are a little leg-intense though. I'm glad I play a male character, I'd be worried of giving everybody crotch shots !
