Pretty much. They did gearing pretty well this time. Soldiery Gear, Allagan Gear and iLv90 Crated Gear (with Melds) are on par with each other. Currently the second best pants you can get for a BLM/SMN are the ilv90 crafted ones if properly melded. The best would be the High Allagan ones but they are a T9 drop so hard to farm.

Basically you want to be buying your Soldiery Gear while also picking up High Allagan and Sands of Time. Current BiS honestly depends on what you have available to use, so there's not one single "this is the best set to use" set anymore.

I havent completed a coil run yet. I'm i90 whm so i know im geared well enough, but i have yet to learn how to do them, lol...

It's the ST BLM robe with some bits of BLM Soldiery gear and the staff you get from Rowena's Tokens.

The Ramuh BLM staff is fucking awesome statwise but weapons alone are rare in that fight.

I've managed ilv90 on Whm and I got 5 atma last night.

Finally got the BLM and SMN weapons from Leviathan Ex. Shame most Ramuh Ex "farm" groups are idits that dint know where to stand and can't make it past the first adds because of it or I would be farming that one too. Then again, Ramuh EX hates Ranged DDs.

I finally got my Leavateinn, just need the sands to get it unweathered :3

Also threw in a pic of my current Coil gear. Could do with more minmaxing but since I'm pulling 300+ DPS on movement heavy fights, 350+ on mostly stationary fights, and 500+ on Trash it really doesn't matter too much

Came back last night for the free-login weekend to discover my FC disbanded, and we'd just gotten a damn house at last too (glad I never contributed to the fund lol)

Mostly done with the story, just a few things left. Ramuh and CT were a blast, and I REALLY appreciated Minfilia acknowledging my exploits in that 1 scene.

Which reminds me (spoilery) - WTF was that statue of that the Ascians were gathered around? I feel like I should recognize it but nothing came to mind.

I thought that too,I think there were 12 of them each on a platform too. I might ait and have a night re-watching my CS's and making notes lol. As much as I enjoyed the update, I felt there was too much filler/running about for unrelated stuff and the important stuff was lacking. I was hoping for more depth into the story or more of a lead up/cliffhanger to the next continuation of it.
Can't complain too much it was free content after all.
