Beat the storyline mission - finally.

Think it's time I stop dilly-dallying and see what endgame is like.

Grats ... I only got to 48 recently ... on my WAR that is. 50 on all DOL/DOH though ... lol.

Nice! I remember farming Ifrit for a full 2 weeks before I got the BLM weapon to drop.

Yeah I was kinda mad last night when Ifrit cudgel dropped while questing my relic, and then this morning as I finally beat titan again BLM dropped...


Coulda used those beforehand.

Got Ballad Chest piece
Reached i77 on Bard
Reached rank 3 on both Beastment tribes
Capped myth 2 weeks straight without killing myself

Helped out FC doing a CT run. I have the Darklight chest on my SCH so I was hoping for the Healer Body to drop and not the Hat as I only have an iLv55 Body to go with the hat. Healer body drops and I roll a 4 on the need roll and the WHM rolled 8. My reaction on Mumble had the FC laughing for a good 10 minutes while I was begging the game NOT to drop the healer hat or it would make me want to cry.

We kill the final boss and the Healer Hat dropped. My "WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!" could apparently be heard by my neighbours and someone in my FC gave me the "Broken Microphone Award" as a consolation prize he made up on the spot later.

But thankfully HQ Vanya Robes are only 66k on Balmung so I have something iLV70 to go with it

Sitting at 5/9 relics and working on Veil of Wiyu atm.

Also finally got a good Coil static. In our 1st 2 nights we made it to Turn 4. Nearly beat it, but our OT wasn't quick enough with feeding the adds. We'll get it next time for sure.

While I do like Coil (especially the music and scenery) it kinda reaffirms my suspicions that nothing's really hard in this game like it was in XI - it's all about having the gear and dodging over-powered attacks.

Wait until you hit Turn 5.

And you can use the same logic with XI. That game was about gear and using items to stun overpowered attacks, or just throwing a load of whatever the current overpowered DD is this patch at the problem until it falls over.

Got my WHM relic.

Finally beat Titan with a FC party. I was still standing at the end which made me I also felt like a pro at the end. I could literally predict what was coming enxt and I was a step ahead. It was a good feeling and one that i hadn't had before. I feel like could take him over and over now, such a good feeling. On another note, I went to get my relic +1 with my oil or whatever it is i got from Aurelia, then realized i need 3 of them. F me... That's a lot of myth...

Nah, nothing in XI ever struck me as that ridiculous save for a few enemies that came in the later expansions. I still really miss elemental weaknesses and enfeebling magic that actually did something. The throwing DD's thing is true, though in XI's case it was more of a fault of Haste being so ludicrously OP and magical & ranged taking little or no level correction penalties (which for better or worse are gone entirely from ARR).

Yeah to a degree that side of it will always be present in these games (having better gear to make fights easier) but it just seems much more prevalent in XIV. I'd like to believe that going forward we'll see more creative stuff, and less blatantly stupid shit like Landslide.
