Hit Lv34 BLM last night and got Fire III. Not having to Transpose back into Astral Fire is fucking awesome and my damage has skyrocketed as a result. I even had a DRG tell me they were jealous of the damage I was throwing out.

How long are these quests? Is it like 5 things to complete?

I got through the quests from start to finish in 3 hours each. I had the benefit of L50 gear, HQ accessories, every craft at L50 and alot of HQ materials / items in storage from 1.0 (I.E. not much time spent farming).

It would take longer, possibly a lot longer, if you are not well prepared. You could just buy all the HQ mats I suppose but I don't like doing that.

If people would find it useful I can make a post about my experiences with crafting so far, list my gear and make some recommendations. I am sure some people will find it useful.

Managed to HQ a bunch of blood currant tarts on my 34 CUL, which was astounding (yay for higher lv craft abilities and HQ gear) all things considered.

Put most of them on the boards, as they're flying off the shelves at 10k a pop (jebus!) but also used a few for some leves to hit 35 - was getting like 47k EXP and 800 gil per leve! (200% increase for turning in HQ item).

Freaking bonkers.

I'm there with you, hit level 16. Long story short, I deleted 2 of my toons and took up one very good one in which is now a level 16 ARC. It sucks starting over, but I'll deal with it. My Linkshell is still growing, 60 out of 128 registered. I plan to fill it by next week and move onto a Free Company.

Got warriors soul and currently lvl 32 stuck at that dungeon with the poisoning dragon at the en due to laggy connection not allowing me to move away quick enough from the 800+ single attack

Got my main to 20. Stuck on Bowl of Embers. I express my hatred of it in the Pet-Peeve forum. But I managed to tank Ifrit for 20 minutes on Carbuncle after the main tank got wiped out in one move. Ha and people say that Carbuncle sucks.

now it's 1017 Hell. Well, at least I got all my R20 craft quests done, and I'm on the lv 35 CUL quest (I really, really hate trying to do all of CUL's lists for each level as there are just so many ingredients...)

I have yet to take up a craft. I'll do it near end-game as it will give me something to do. Right now I've just farmed my 2k Seals for my Chocobo. So I'm happy about that, within the week I'm going tp cap out my rank for the Fire Guard or whatever they are, I want that red uniform just to have it.

I have a script you can run that puts Num Pad 0 on autofire if you are stuck behind 1017 if you're interested Mal. Num Pad 0 is basically counted as the confirm button for a pad for some reason by the game.
