Got all my crafts outfitted in AF+1, MIN & BTN in AF+1 and all gathering & crafting AF tools :D

Also hit 40 SMN and am working on getting access to stone vigil. Tired of putting off the main story, since SE seems hellbent on NOT letting me play with my friends and I need endgame access to take full advantage of my 50 crafts (Astral Rings are 1 mil on Exalicbur!)

This was last weekend... I unlock PLD and got my battle Chocobo. Also got all my DoL and DoH to 30. This weekend I will work on DoH to 35 and may take a stab at running Haukke Manor.

ALMOST beat Stone Vigil on 1st try... SCH kept dying to Isgebind's AoE every time though.

Just beat Tam-tar, yay I can progress...to another *****ing dungeon! what?

Does this happen from now until 50 or what? Are there any normal quests past 17, other than job specific? Any1?

Please, somebody, give me some reassurance that I won't be held back by queuing!

Nah, those two come in pretty quick succession. There are several other dungeons you'll have to run for the storyline, but they're more spread out than those two.

Getting near the end of the main story now I think. ^_^

Only got BSM and WVR to 35 over the weekend. I got distracted by the urge to play XCOM again, so I wasn't in Eorzea as much as usual. All my gear is made though, so it should be fairly easy to get to 35 on the 5 others over the week.

With crafting, is it faster to level by grinding or through leves? In 1.0 grinding was the best bet.

Leves, no contest. HQ's give you 3x the EXP and Gil.

Technically it is both. You craft the gear to hand in as leve awards. You get an XP bonus simply for a HQ attempt and handing in a HQ item gives you an insane XP boost for the quest reward.

I find Leves to be pretty grindy... but at least you get money and exp for it, and the occasional item

They helped with gathering for mining and botany but I find the fishing thing impossible as I can't see a way of predicting what ur gonna get [when fishing]. Any1?

Like in FFXI certain bait works for certain fish. I'm not sure how much testing has been done on isolating fish FFXI style though by using a specific bait/rod combo.

I find grinding to edge out leve for certain crafts, especially if you're sitting on an exorbitant amount of certain shards, like Wind Shards. So for GSM, I grind the sh*t outta stuff, and levels fall down like blocks. For others, certain levels and hubs will present fantastic repeatable leves, like Walnut Macuahuitls for CRP or Goatskin Chokers for LTW, where HQs are easy as pies and you can gain 5 or more levels with proper planning in just under 15 minutes (Hint: If the market is glut with these items in HQ, buy them up, because time is money if you're a serious crafter - otherwise grind away as normal, just know that the leves for these crafts are supreme)

You can buy the items they want you to craft and turn them in? I didnt think that was possible.
