To be fair Holy does look awesome and is also the point where WHMs can actually contribute to FATEs outside of spamming Aero and hoping you get a tick before the zerg kills the mob.

Aero does do some minor initial damage right when you cast it.

Just because the animation went off doesn't mean it actually dealt damage as well. I've thrown it out in plenty of FATEs and not had the mob tagged for the XP and contribution because the server had the mob already listed as at 0HP.

Is XP in fate not calculated by total damage? all you need ot do is get on the hate list of a mob and thats it to get max xp?

Being the first to tag a mob is more important for a healer than DOTs. You tag mob first, add a dot after, and then go heal. Flash is instant, you can cheat GCD with it, and it tags mobs (I wish they would remove that, because nothing more annoying that GLA/PLD spamming Flash ahead of MRD/WAR Overpower to really fuck things up)

Got my friend some pants from Wanderer's Palace!... Then wiped on the second boss due to having 0 AoE.

WHM can't equip CNJ skills sadly, though until Holy, WHM itself has nothng really useful for FATEs and it's not hard to just equip the soul for Boss FATEs for Regen and Divine Seal.

By the same token, PLD can't equip GLD skills. Keen Flurry for example. It has affinity for the class, but not the job derived from it, so when you equip the soul you lose it.

I forgot to fix the typo and correct CNJ to GLD but it's funny enough a typo for me to want to leave it like that.

Completed AK with 2 BLMs and a SCH. Demon Wall took a couple of tries and was tough with all of the moment but once the other BLM and I clicked we managed to finish the fight perfectly.

Demon Wall is a pretty easy boss as long as you don't bring a caster or Pet Class, so it was very satisfying to win with 2 casters and a Pet Class.
