I can't even get on Balmung. It tells me the world is full and to GTFO.

I can't get a queue. You guys at least get a queue. It's the error 1017 of death. I'm going to try to figure out solutions for some of the minor issues that people encounter while I wait.

Okay now it's telling the NA/EU block is down, it it doesn't already try to put me into a queue to get to the character select screen...

I don't get why they are doing the "Server's Full!" thing now. I'd rather be in the queue for an hour and watch a DVD or play on a handheld than have to manually relog onto my character each attempt.

WoW had queues during their launch, which despite the whining at the time, was a very clever way of dealing with the traffic (because people would like to see progress which makes them feel like they're somewhat in control of the situation. That's how human nature works)

SE would do well to hire someone with expertise in human psychology from a business perspective.

I don't even care about progress bars either as long as I don't have to keep clicking every time it gives me to 1017 of doom. Really though I could just play Fire Emblem or Dynasty Warriors for a bit or watch something on Netflix if they brought back the queue XD.

Right in the middle of EU prime time too, though SE did always love to put maintenances during EU prime time in FFXI

I was on. Then I had a C++ Runtime error pop up "Pure Virtual Function" or some shit, then it kicked me. Now I can't log in! :D

On a side note, any ideas how to fix it?

1017 error of doom. It's why I'm tempted to never log out of the game until it's fixed XD
