    Did anyone receive one yet? Still waiting and haven't gotten word. In case you're wondering what a successful entry of your code looks like, here it is:

    Waiting on doing the pre-order code redemption. NA players are being sent EU early access codes by mistake. SE is aware of it.

      I think I got an EU one, everytime I try to use it it tells me it's invalid. Got a ticket in with SE. Bummer deal.

        Been getting error 3's all day. I stopped trying since people claimed they're getting EU codes; I'm just going to wait till they fix this mess as I rather not get an EU code and have to sit through their support hotline for 3 hours tomorrow.

          Im not inputting code until they fix it. Maybe once they fix it it'll give me US code on the first try, mew. It might take 1 or 2 days to fix the issue. There is still 3 days until early access, mew. They'll have it working soon.

            They're receiving EU codes because it is for EU players onry. I believe registration for NA players was suppose to take place tonight. The emails will go out then ... but people who were entering the pre-order and are NA are screwed because they were not following directions.

              I received an invalid code via purchase. Nothing to do with entering it in anywhere wrong. I did what the instructions in the e-mail said, and clicked the US Flag. Aside from that, I dunno what else could be wrong.

                I've had my pre-order code since I first pre-ordered back in June with GreenManGaming. They emailed me that SE was accepting the codes today. Same deal as Hayde; nothing but Error 3. I assumed it was just the server getting overloaded.

                  I have no clue how people are entering their pre-codes w/o email. You need to get an email from SE, NOT FROM WHOEVER YOU PURCHASED IT FROM (and if you did purchase it from SE, thru Digital River, you're not getting anything ... they'll send it out when ready)

                  The email will say something like, "blah blah you can go enter your pre-codes now! Click this link OR you can entering it upon logging into the game should you choose to do so.

                    Looks like I've had an EU code from the start... unless Error 3 means I'm using an NA code on it or something. Bah, I'll just wait from SE.

                        I entered my code and did not get that message that Aeni posted at the top. EU Code entered on the EU site.

                            Just got Error 3. SE needs to pick up the ball here. This close to release and shit is going down the tubes. I got my Pre-Order code from Gamestop and I put my email in to get notified when I could put my code in. I'll try again tomorrow I guess. It's 1:23 AM here.

                              Okay, to head off potential problems and a lot of streaming tears and QQ here and everywhere else ...

                              DO NOT TRY TO ENTER YOUR CODE

                              UNTIL YOU RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM SE

                              THAT SAYS YOU CAN ENTER YOUR CODE


                              Here is what I've found and understood...

                              1. Square Enix is using your email address as the sole determinant (Unique ID Key) to registration.

                              2. Your Final Fantasy XIV account is no longer being handled by the 1.0 management system (which PlayOnline folded into) While Final Fantasy XI players remain largely unaffected at this time, all Final Fantasy XIV players are being moved to the new account management system.

                              3. All 1.0 players were made to create a Square Enix Membership account late last year in order to participate in Alpha testing. Every single player who participated in Beta and were not existing 1.0 players had to have created a Square Enix Membership account as well.

                              4. Final Fantasy ARR copies will, from this point forward, be registered through Square Enix Membership and only this account management system. You will never have to deal with the 1.0 account management system ever again once Early Release goes into effect and the new 2.0 account management system rolls out aka Moogle/Mog Account (TBA)

                              5. If your Square Enix Membership and your 1.0 account management emails do not match, you may encounter issues. At that point, you may have to contact support to resolve the issue, or else your Legacy status as well as any 1.0 CE codes will not be carried over.

                              6. When Square Enix pulls your email address into the next batch to accept pre-order codes from, they will flag your account to accept any pre-order code. IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL, YOUR ACCOUNT HAS NOT BEEN FLAGGED AND WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY PRE-ORDER CODE!

                              7. Brute forcing around this will only result in nasty errors and data corruption, so stop spamming the fuck out of the servers. Just wait for the email.


                              If it's the 24th and you still have not yet received the email, immediately contact SE support. Remember, it's not the end of the world if you can't play during EA, as it's only a couple of days long and you're not missing out much. With P4 data being carried forward, at this point in time, what's more important is to not fuck yourself over and mess your account up. Also, if you end up messing up your account and the system, and receive the wrong region or wrong platform code, you may also be screwing over another legitimate player in the process, effectively doubling SE's support case load.
