Pre-Order Question

So I preordered the game about a week ago, and am having a hard time figuring out how to use the codes I was provided. One is a serial code, I imagine this is the CD Key for the game that I add in services on my Square-Enix account. The place where I put the code has said "code registration is unavailable" or something like that now, for like 2 weeks. Also, it seems like I have to put in my e-mail and wait for it to tell me when I'm allowed to get my pre-order gifts? Confusing business. Anyone got any helpful advice or tips? I tried searching the forums, but was unsuccessful in finding any help.

Enter Pre-Order code here: FFXIV: A Realm Reborn Pre-Order Redemption Website

When game is released, you can enter the game code to your Square Enix Members account (I'm assuming this is the new account management system we'll be using)

Check your account profile. The game should be listed there.
