Beta Testers need to reapply for Phase 4? Especially PS3 testers?

Oh mew this is confusing. FINAL FANTASY XIV, The Lodestone Doesn't seem like there is notice of if PS3 people that are joined Phase 3 will automatically get a code, or they have to reregister again. I guess we will receive new code by email since it uses a new client, mew? At least people that haven't tested have until Monday to register for a Phase 4 code.

Yeah, I don't understand the confusion. If you have registered a code, you are in. If you have not, you have until Monday to register, and until the next Monday to enter your code.

But the Phase 3 client can't be used for Phase 4, so that means PS3 has to download a new client (which might not be public, or wait, maybe it will be public in the store, don't need a redeem code for it, but still require people to either have been in the previous test or otherwise input a registration code. ) I guess people already a tester just input their SE account username and password to automatically get in the new beta client.

The client is independent of your beta status. As long as your account is marked for beta, then you don't need to worry for Phase 4. Your client update will be handled automatically via the existing client on your PS3 (unless you deleted it for some strange reasons) PC players will have to re-download an entirely different client.

I was on the PC version beta but havent received any info on the PS3 version of beta which is really what I want. Any idea what i need to do? Just register for the phase for beta above and check the PS3 version?

I'm interested in the PS3 client too. While my 3 and a half year old machine can play the game maxed out, I want to try out the game on the PS3 anyway just to see if I like it.

This basically sums up what's going on. If you are i nthe Beta for the PC version then there is nothing to worry about.

If you guys have not, you *need* to apply for PS3 beta separately. Use the same email that your account is tied to, and during registration process, choose "PS3 + Windows" as your option. All this will do is auto-magically apply you in a queue for a PS3 code while preserving your ability to continue on Windows.
