Well, now that the beta is during the week and I can play some... Ran around Gridania casting Holy for no apparent reason. Also noticed my WHM doesn't have Cure II... Just Cure and Cure III. Wtf?

Some spells only available through class quests. Cure II will be available as a reward probably at level 30. Make sure to do Level 15 CNJ quest for that spell (the knockback/bind one)

Anyone else getting booted from server, and getting extremely bad lag? On the tester forums, several people are reporting this, so just wondering if it's happening to everyone.

Game won't even let me do the level 1 quest. :S

Late on this but just got home. Make sure you unequip your WHM soul stone. That will apply to any jobs/class combo--they don't see you as a 50 CNJ even if you're a 50 WHM. It was annoying but when the legacy servers first went up a few weeks ago I pretty much ran around doing all the grid/cnj quests without any armor on (couldn't wear AF).

Ended up in a party full of Germans earlier. Thought "Great! Time to get in some practise with my German". As soon as they found out I'm a Brit they all instantly switched to perfect written English for my sake. I've noticed that Germans do this a lot and while I appreciate the gesture, it kind of sucks that I don't get to get any practise in XD

Yeah all the guild leaders won't let you take any class quests if you're currently set as a job - it's annoying but w/e.

Conversation in the last group I was in.

Me: Save the Limit Break. Trust me THM's is useful in this fight.
CNJ: Well it would be nice to get through the adds fast. They are killing us because someone keeps waking them...
LNC: Just hit it when it's up on the boss dude and ignore the THM. Tank just taunt stuff I wake and THM sleep it.
MAR: How about no, just let him use it.
*Boss fight begins. Adds spawn in boss fight, I drop Skyshard on the lot of them. Huge Explosion. No more adds*
LNC: Holy fuck that's better than Astral Flow
Me: *all the smugness*

As a note, Skyshard is THM/BLM exclusive right now due to us being the only magic DD but that means that ARC, SMN and SCh will also be able to drop a freaking ridiculous nuke.

Instant level 15 on jobs : ffxiv

It seems after you have finished your company quest(~level 20), you can instant level 15 by talking to these NPCs as the correct class.

Aniud in Hawthorne Hut(East Shroud) above the town for Lancer

Urswyrst in Moraby Drydocks(Lower Noscea) outside gate near Chocobo Porter(21,33)* for Marauder
Adelard at the South Hammer(Western Thanalan)(20,27) for Pugilist
