That's what I like the most about it. When I saw something interesting in WoW on the flight paths, I couldn't jump off. Had to wait and hope it's still there when I run back.

The chocobo porters are also much, much cheaper than teleporting - deal lord they need to cut down the costs. Why should the starter camp cost me like 100+ gil to teleport to from LL, when I can take a chocobo porter and get there 1 minute later (rather than instant) and for only 5 gil? Discrepancy much?!

Also wow, that's sad... butt-hurt 'muricans.

          They've been there since Alpha.

They're the guys wearing chocobo masks at every stable. They function similarly to Aetherytes in that you have to talk to each one before you can use them/travel there.

Just in: new expansion will feature the ability to breed and raise your own chocobo. Not for racing, though. They're calling it Chocobo Running, where you need to smuggle in supplies for the underground Garlean Resistance Movement, and also run narcotics to help fuel the whole operation.

            ...

            Well, one can dream ...

teleporting is not a lot unless you abuse it, mew. It's a reasonable amount of gil considering how convenient it is. Use your feet! Make the earth feel your steps! Give the land a nice back rub. Every trip is a journey, mew.

What you do in the game is your business and what we do is ours. If you want to role play and treasure every minute you spend traveling to and fro, then that's your perogative and no one should dissaude you or harass you about it. But, conversely, if someone wants to be able to instantly travel to a destination and the ability is available, then you cannot fault them for their choice nor degrade or devalue their expression or motives for doing so.

Okay. Only banned on the forum. Can still play the beta.

Was disappointed at the lack of people in LL areas this week in beta. Impossible to do boss FATE, because you're the only person there. If you're lucky, there's one other person. May just be the Ragnarok server, though. Was pretty dead in comparison to other servers in 1.0.

That's because it's a Legacy server and most people don't have any interest in the 0-30 levels. They're probably testing out the upper reaches in dungeons, maybe getting down some strats for an online guide or FAQ, hitting up some crafts, figuring out how to best meld materia, etc. Legacy servers are pretty much a good platform for Mozk Taberenai and others to update their info sites and pass it down to other players.
