Hey you posted the new trailer first, mew! That was fast. Oh ya, the official general discussion has a topic about this and they have lots of pictures, including housing and a Goobue rug.

Re: LIVE Letter 7 from the producer right now
Summoner is still at launch. Arcanist might be like FFTactics where Squire and Chemist branch out to more than one job class, mew.
Questing for Scholar may require leveling different classes compared to Summoner.

Is that a new city?

Re: LIVE Letter 7 from the producer right now
They already confirmed way back that SMN would be Arcanists' job, but they said in the video (and it's in the Q&A I believe) that now SCH will be available at launch for Arcanist as well so...
hmm. Guess it'll be the first class that gets 2 jobs.
EDIT: Just wanted to add that I f'ing LOVE the new animations for BLM ^_^
So much better than XI...

Re: LIVE Letter 7 from the producer right now
I believe they were, just surprising to see it happen like that right away - and also how SCH will work this time around.
I say that because the spell system was much different (and one of the few things I feel better) in XI over XIV. SCH has traditionally been like a RDM but even more focused on magic, eschewing melee entirely. But spells are all class/job abilities this time around and not shared skills like in XI. So what will SCH's magic be like? Carbuncle +... what?

Re: LIVE Letter 7 from the producer right now
Came across new info and media, mew
"Q38: Please tell us about each job’s unique features, such as dragoons specialities for physical attack and the difference between the two tanks, paladin and warrior.
A38: Dragoon is your standard damage dealer. However, by attacking from behind or the from the side of your enemy you will get bonuses and buffs. These bonuses can stack and enhance your damage. Also, when you talk about dragoon of course they have jump, and in ARR we will have a variety of different jumps. You can use jump to get close, leg sweep to stun, and then run behind them and attack with a multitude of abilities.
In regards to Monk which was shown on the stream, using a single weapon skill will determine a “form†which will determine the next weapon skill you can use. Additionally, you will be able to link forms together. Depending on the form you can receive a haste effect which will reduce your global cooldown, so by linking a bunch of forms it will really open up possibilities.
With that said, each damage dealer has their own special characteristics, just as classes/jobs and paladin/warrior have their special differences."

Re: LIVE Letter 7 from the producer right now
You won't necessarily have to level SMN or SCH to use the other, mew. If anything, this makes aquiring them much faster than having to level an entirely new class linked to it. Those that level Arcanist (and perhaps something else), could decide whether to get Scholar or Summoner based on the class requirements without needing to level more than 1-2 classes to get one or the other.
