By the way, Mezlo, the reason why you cannot find the CE (PC) elsewhere is that it is a Square-Enix Store Exclusive. So you will need to order from SE's Store if you want it. The PS3 CE can be pre-ordered pretty much everywhere else.

You know what fucks me off about that? They are taking the time and effort to package a physical copy, not just digital only for CE - Oh but a disc-version for Seekers of Adoulin? Nope.

I don't think you're alone in that regards. Incidentally, there are a lot of people out there who are seething with rage that NIS America decided to forego a physical CE for Black Rock Shooter (PSP/Vita) and opted for a digital distribution instead.

It's not that I hate digital distribution, but more than POL is a pile of shit that takes ages to update, and all the previous collections had a physical release that came with the latest updates to FFXI. Sorry SE, but there was no way I was going to sit through a 30+ GB download and then on top of that god knows how many hours of downloading POL updates - not happening.


Moot point now anyway, from what I hear (and have seen of the new Delve Weapons) the game balance has been thrown completely out the window and people are raging at Matsui. Rune Fencer came a good 4+ years too late for me :/

There appears to be some kind of commotion from 1.0 CE players about the ARR PC CE ... and I have no clue what the eff they're whining about this time. Does anyone have any insights into this or can I safely ignore it all?

It's a legitimate concern.

If you have an existing PC account, you cannot apply the PC ARR CE to your account. You have to buy the PS3 ARR CE. SE won't let you overlap registration keys for platforms. This is why they're allowing digital upgrade for the CE items for PC players.

Guide:
1.0 PC ---> 2.0 PC CE --- NOT ALLOWED
1.0 PC ---> 2.0 PS3 CE --- ALLOWED
1.0 PC ---> 2.0 PS3 --- ALLOWED


Also, PC CE does not give you head start. Only legacy and pre-orders.

Yeah so the only reason to get the CE if you already had it is for the pre-order stuffs and the physical items (the new box art is sweet but not paying $70)

I cancelled my PC ARR CE order from SE and went with a PS3 ARR CE from Amazon instead. Thus saving on shipping and taxes (Paying $79 instead of $88, even though the PC CE was suppose to be $10 cheaper ... LOL)

I thought about it and came to the conclusion that the PS3 route was more beneficial as I'd be getting actual use out of it (I have a PS3) than a second, most likely unused, PC account key.

Holy shite! I didn't think of that... I am going to be playing it on my PS3, so I already have the PS3 version preordered. If I'm going to play it on the PC do i need to order that version too? Or will i just be able to download the version update and login?
