I still can't get it to download on my computer. I have gone in and deleted the file folder FFXIV beta from the my games download and kept trying, but it fails and gives me 3 error messages: [11006] [20641] [20643]

It sucks because everything goes fine and then the white error message window pops up with these and tells me to restart the download. I close it down, restart the download, it downloads for 1 mins and then says the file is corrupted. Go and delete the file, try again and the same shit happens... Any ideas guys? I'm thinking about email SE, but i doubt they would really respond with any help for someone that can't download the beta version of the game...

You can do what I have been doing, mew! FFXIV ARR beta test using printed out paper dolls! Just cut out the paper dolls and use the full scenery pages for the backgrounds.

It's mostly WoW players too...

God the level of ignorance is infuriating. Every 10~15 seconds some moron is shouting "how do I do this" or "where can I find that" when it's all there right in the god damned manual.

I don't know why you single out WoW players. Over chat, I had someone who first of all made some claim about being from some top raiding LS in FFXI, and then start bitching at everyone using the term "Lag" for anything other than what he thinks it should be: about framerates.

Anyway, there's a lot of players, especially non 1.0 players, that are the most vocal (or the ones that say they played 1.0 and quit a few months later, which I think has something to do more with they couldn't afford subscription) and want the most ridiculous things, from wanting the exact same exp hunting requirements from FFXI (e.g., party based requirement to level efficiently) to someone wanting some class/job system from Ragnarok Online. Sheesh.

Because pretty much all of the idiots shouting the nonsense were WoW players insisting on using WoW terms and telling the FF crowd to shut up & leave.

Not that stupidity is unique to any particular group of people.

They've always had them. You would have a raiding LS and your "home" LS and then some Dynamis LS, etc. The raiding LS would almost always be that one LS that you use to "hunt" NM/HNMs with, or what I just used to call them Camping LS (because that's what you did all the time, spamming Provoke in thin air)

Only in FFXI players do elitism truly exist. You need to keep up. Whatever you used to call things in FFXI no longer applies anymore outside of FFXI.

His comment was in reference to XI. Wherein, your's is in reference to things outside the FFXI sphere. You're basically attacking him for saying whatever he's talking about only applies to XI when he's already talking solely about XI.

Raiding is a term that pre-dates FFXI and is/was used extensively by Yoshi-P in describing FFXI, especially in relationship to FFXIV. It is FFXI players that only played FFXI that has a difficulty in grasping and dealing with terminologies used by many other games.

I don't give a rat's ass if you called raiding "smoking crack" in FFXI ... everyone else sees it as raiding.
