The email you received will take you to a website with a mugshot of Naoki Yoshida. On that same page, there should be a link to various places, including one to the "beta" forums. From there, it should be under the "English" forums, beta client. The only reason why I managed to "look for it" yesterday, heck, the day before, was I am subscribed to SE's JP FFXIV Facebook page, saw the entry, d/l the client and then waited until servers were live. I'm sure others had their own way of knowing or had entered it on their calendar or something.

I tried downloading the beta client and im getting a message that the file signature is missing or is corrupt and its not letting me start the setup process... ideas??? im on windows 8...

Let me ask the question again and maybe I can get a better response, lol... I am in the beta forums, I click on the down beta client HERE link. I start downloading ffxivsetup.exe, then when it gets to 100% downloaded I get an error message that pops up saying the signature of ffxivsetup.exe is corrupt or invalid and it wont let me run the setup file. Any idea what I can do to fix this or do I need to contact SE? It wont run the setup, I can view that's the file it downloaded but it shows partial download on my download list and the only option I have to do with it is to delete it. I tried lowering my security settings on my internet browser and I tried resetting my computer (these are the only 2 things I know to do to fix my computer when it has hiccups) and neither worked.

yeah people in game, as of right now, are just as bad in shout -.- btw same server as Mal, Kailea Nagisa, if you ever see me running around ;p

main problem is that the error about the signature should not be showing up in the first place.

make sure anything related to FFXIV is gone from your computer, run your web browser as admin (just in case) and download the file strait to your desktop, and see what happens

I never deleted the alpha from my computer, think that could be it? Also, how do i run my browser as admin?

Possibly. No reason to have alpha on there.

right click it and choose "run as administrator" if your using XP though, this is not needed, as the option will not be there

I'm hardly on and I'm probably better suited to being on my own on this server. I tried to get on Bahamut like everyone else for the start of Phase 1 but it semeend to be a full. I created a clone character ready to hop on should a spot open up... but I'm not stressing out too much about it.
