PS3 version looks really close too, mew. OH LOOK Gilgamesh and CLOUD OF DARKNESS confirmed!!!! 

Even if they adjust the graphics so it's smoother like PS2 FFXI, it will be still enjoyable and presentable. Yes, it could lag a lot with large group events, but now with the instanced dungeons, and phase 3 optimizations, FFXIV ARR will be comfy at launch. The engine was already rebuilt with PS3 in the formula, so it's just a matter of testing it to polish it more just like the PC Alpha test has improved the PC version.
