I see it as a good thing for FFXIV. People like me want more info on what the game is like and if I can look at videos and see the game .... maybe understand a little more about how the system is going to work then I might buy the game. If I can not find any information about it then it will be longer before they get my money given the same info later.

Getting info from an alpha or even a beta is a bad idea, many things change and alpha leaks of FFXIV back in 2010 hurt then, and could hurt now.

If you and a friend made some agreement and part of that agreement (or deal) was never to break your promise to each other, honoring that agreement is not just "a good thing", but it is the RIGHT/CORRECT thing to do.

The best thing to do as an informed consumer of said media is to report those that are breaking NDAs. That is also the RIGHT/CORRECT thing to do.

It wouldn't matter ... it's what the moderation team on the forum allows/disallows. I don't run this forum and I never said you shouldn't post stuff in the first place (I was only pointing out the problem with the source of your information and not you personally)

Intentionally leaked information has always been a main staple of the industry. It makes for a great PR move on the publishers part. But remember, sometimes these leaks can be detrimental to the developers working on the project, because it tends to be revealed without proper legal disclosure (e.g., "bear in mind that a lot can change from now and release")

Hence, contractual obligations placed on Alpha testers, with the usual legal disclaimers.

I have a feeling the bulk of invites is going out to JP players still ... although I can't imagine that will stay the same in the coming weeks so just sit tight. Oh and at J9:

I have to say, at first I was a little against the redesign because I liked the maze of the 1.0 but this looks amazing.
