Re: Area overview (Alpha)
am I the only one that liked the old Black Shroud? it was a confusing maze like Forest, you know like it was supposed to be -.- now it seems to be a much bigger open area. Don't get me wrong, I like it but the old one was not bad.-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Re: Area overview (Alpha)
Yeah, at first it was pretty nice because it made the Shroud feel more complex than it was. But after a little while of playing, once I realized the massive amounts of copy pasta involved, I just got severely bored of the few actual patterns involved in the area.
And while I hope there's still a maze-like portion of the Shroud I think this design will probably be much better than the old one, but we can't really know until we get to explore it by ourselves. XD
PS > Also worth notice is the Castle Zvahl-ish [S] section at the end with the imps. XDsigpic

Re: Area overview (Alpha)
mmm yeah true, I want to see more of the "other Final Fantasy" things they have placed in this game, or are going to. Like the Crystal Tower.
To bad they could have just dropped the number, made it a side FF game, and just went crazy with cameos, I would have been fine with that too. I would love the run a BCNM where I could beat the ever living hell out of Cloud, or Kefka, or hell Kain-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Re: Area overview (Alpha)
I would've preferred Vana-HD, and then an MMOG based on VIII's world afterwards. With players being SeeD students in one of the 3 Gardens (Balamb, Galbadia or Trabia) fighting and taking contracts in conflicts all around the world and unlocking GFs and abilities through studies at Garden.
But that would be way too good to ever happen.sigpic

Re: Area overview (Alpha)
Again, you're the only one.
Sorry, but I don't care for running through a goddamned maze in the overworld. Dungeons are another story, that's fair game - but just getting to something like an Aetheryte camp or an NPC shouldn't require jumping through a million hoops.

oh great idea, mew!! =^^=
we could throw paper balls at the teacher in class, then apologize in a friendly mew mew mischief way.
oh I wonder if the cafeteria is going to run out of hotdogs each day? ohhhh and imagine our dormitories!! And and graduating and getting the SeeD uniform!! That would feel more rewarding than any AF!
Are leak leaks allowed here? THere are some links found of many updated screenshots, people said they updated the animations for mages, the graphics got an upgrade I think, and the screenshots show the updated names and text bubbles updated in more detail.

Re: Area overview (Alpha)
yeah one of the forum admins posted that world wide alpha starts on the 26th...and he said:
"Just one more reminder... Don't forget about the confidentiality agreement regarding the Alpha Test (as referenced in this post). "
It was sad that I laugh a little, because I knew how many would break these rules.-------------------------------------------------------------------------
